I have been working in further education since 1983, and I have been writing, co-writing and editing text books for SAGE Publications since 2006.

My passion is to help new entrants to the further education, skills and training sector: i.e. the beginner teacher; trainer; assessor and/or quality assurer.

All my books are written in plain English and break down complex topics into easy to understand concepts.

I have a Master's Degree in Educational Management; a Post Graduate Certificate in Education; a Degree in Education; and qualifications in Business Administration; Customer Service; Management; Learning & Development; Assessment, IQA and EQA awards.

I have co-written international and national teaching qualifications for several awarding organisations, as well as working for them in a compliance and quality assurance capacity. I am based in East Yorkshire, England (UK). I have delivered events in various parts of the UK, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

I am a Fellow of the Society for Education and Training and I hold QTLS status.
