Summary- Fire is a book about how fire is used in many different ways. There are different types of fire, such as the sun, volcano, lightning, wildfires, etc. It tells a story of how fire is "a process, an action, a thing that occurs." There are pictures on each page that coincides with the sub-type of fire being discussed.

Response- I liked this book because it showed me how many different ways that fire is used around the world. It's used in ways that my mind would just skip over, such as fireworks, firearms, steel mills, etc. It gives brief, but fruitful information on the different ways that fire is used. I believe that students would be shocked to read this and see how many ways fire is actually used.

One of four books that ornament the top of my bookcase, these really appealed to me as an elemental pagan. I bought them individually over the course of a few weeks when I first started working at the bookstore and remember going from place to place to find them all.

They're wonderfully done, and the photography and prose go together well, but I have to admit my bias: if I wasn't someone who already liked to think of the world through the lens of the elements, it might not have struck me quite as strong.
