Beautiful book with lovely advice.
The best part of the book for me was in the Forward, “Gardeners seem to belong to one of two extreme kinds: the plantsmen and women and the garden-makers… the plantsmen and women regarded the plants themselves as all-important, while to the garden-maker it was only the overall picture of the garden that mattered.” This book works toward a common view.
