Absolutely THE worst Christmas book I have ever read. This book did not age well and the main character was awful and had a serious issues about weight and food. Don’t get me started about the toothbrush. Ugh. Just skip this book.
This is a cute little RomCom. If lighthearted romances are your thing, you should enjoy this book! It's also a good palate cleanser for those looking for one that is a fast read.
A delightful romance comedy by Debbie Macomber, part of the Blossom series. Very comical, happy, holiday like sharing memories and recipes and such. Nice light reading to help each the daily stress of today’s world with pandemic issues, crime in our cities, suicides happening for whatever reasons hidden in those deep dark regions of those we have lost, etc. Debbie’s writings make life a bit easier to get through during very hard times.
Regardless of any of the rest of the content, KO’s focus on her weight is pretty gross and regressive. Doesn’t add anything to the narrative or depth to the character. If the author is trying to depict an eating disorder, she should do so more thoughtfully.
Great short reads for Christmas. When reading stories by Debbie Macomber, they are always charming an entertaining. Perfect for gift giving or snuggle in a warm blanket to read on a snowy day.
