About the author

Lorraine Beatty was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, but now calls Mississippi home. She and husband Joe have two sons and six grandchildren. Lorraine started writing in Junior High and has written for trade books, newspapers and company newsletters. She is a member of RWA, ACFW and is a charter member and past president of Magnolia State Romance Writers. In her spare time she likes to work in her garden, travel, and spend time with her family.

This was miraculous... a really great book to read from the beginning to the end....

I literally read it in less than an hour, it was so compelling and capativing, it was difficult to put down...Our story shows the courage of one empty widow, whose with God's help, never gave up...(At the ending, our author stated, "That when something bad happens, we all want to blame someone and always what's to know 'why it happened', forgiveness and guilty is such a hard burden to bear...but believing in God and let him lead the way...will always help ease the pain)...

I definitely enjoy reading this first Lorraine Breatty's books, and highly recommends reading all of them as I will!!!!

Her Fresh Start Family by Lorraine Beatty. Widow Nina Johnson seeks a fresh start in a Southern small town. Her daughter was killed when she jumped out of the car and ran in front of a car. Nina blames herself. Then her husband joined the service because they couldn't cope with the loss. Nina meets veteran Bret Sinclair in the office business she is working in. He has a five year old and an eight year old. Nina deals with a lot in her first few days there. A very good read.
