She says it’s all about the chemistry. He says it’s all about the romance. Samantha Love has based her entire academic career on the hypothesis that love is simply a chemical reaction. Ethan Quinn thinks she’s taken love and all its mysteries and reduced it to something as romantic as a cholesterol test, and he sets out to prove her theory wrong. Is it chemistry or romance? Or a little of both?
Winning Dr. Wentworth, Book Two
She’s benched her heart. His is on injured reserve. Burned-out and broken-hearted math professor Shelby Wentworth returns to her hometown determined to escape the disgrace of a nasty divorce, shake off the taint of her ruined career, and start over, sans romance, but an unexpected reunion with Nash Taylor, former star quarterback and high school crush, promises to derail her plans. Will Shelby let the past dictate the future, or will Nash win her heart?
Educating Dr. Mayfield, Book Three
He has plenty to learn about love. She’s just the woman who can teach him. Creative writing professor Delaney Driscoll finds her plan to establish a new degree program blocked when Devon Mayfield, the uptight new college dean opposes her request. While she educates him on the benefits of the curriculum, can she make him forget the pain of his past and teach him that love is more than a just four-letter word?

Three great romance novellas! Each with a fab storyline with romance and a touch of intrigue and characters that will have you hoping they get their hea!
Spoiler free (except for one point at the end which is labelled). I couldn’t put this three novella series down as soon as I started reading. It’s not my usual genre, or something I would usually gravitate too. But that didn’t stop me finding it a compelling and interesting read. I am glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and requested a copy of this eBook as it was thoroughly enjoyable. Romancing Dr. Love Romancing Dr. Love, despite the cheese fest that is that title and the main characters surname, was actually a lot deeper and more layered story than I imagined it to be on reading that title. This novella was full of exciting obstacles with high emotional stakes. The characters were well rounded, relatable and flawed. Most romance novels lack this, and therefore I tend to avoid them, but maybe I judged too soon, as this novella definitely didn’t lack and I’m now reconsidering everything I ever thought about romance books. Ethan is a great love interest, and I found myself invested in his and Sam’s tale. I love how this is a story that had growth. Both characters learnt something, they went through a lot of change throughout the novella which made the read really satisfying. Ethan has to learn to trust again, and Sam to love in the first place. The contrast in their personalities made their romance realistic and believable. It wasn’t easy, and I like that about this book. Finally I like the way these novellas are written. It switches between Sam and Ethan’s point of views so effortlessly, giving us a rounded view of everything that is happening. It does it so easily, it doesn’t even need to switch points of view with separate chapters, it does it mid page. You just know who’s point of view it is and when. Winning Dr. Wentworth This novella confused me at first when it started with a car like the first novella. But it didn’t take long to find it’s feet and separate itself completely from the first novel, standing up on it’s own as an independent novella, just as compelling as the first. But it isn’t completely independent from the first book and I LOVED that! The characters overlap, this one being about Ethan’s best friend. I love a good cameo, but it also meant that we got to see more of Ethan and Sam from book one too, extending their story slightly too. I actually liked this novella the most. I loved the idea that its about a childhood friendship / high school heartache gone wrong, and about those characters meeting again in adulthood after years of pain apart. I love a romance about people who have known each other for a long time, and this was no exception. Even if I knew nothing about the sports side of this novella. Educating Dr. Mayfield This has to be my second favourite out of the three novellas. This one didn’t start with a car, so maybe it wasn’t an on purpose theme. I love how this tied up the loose ends of the remaining prominent character Delaney, giving her a novella of her own. I don’t know if I mentioned it already, but I love that these are novellas. It gave us a way to see the stories of three interlocking characters in a way that couldn’t have been achieved with a novel. I really liked the love interest in this book, Devon is my favourite of the three. I can’t help it but the whole corporate Mr Darcy thing is irresistible. One down point though is the ‘This is sterling university, and it’s a granite town’ speech is very annoying though. The same speech is copy and pasted into all three novellas, and reading it for the third time was a little tedious. At first I was not sure if I like the fact that Sam’s research was used in this novella as well. I wasn’t sure if I would have preferred their romance to develop naturally, not in the same way as the first book. But then, as the story developed, Sam’s research just made everything so much better. It turned the story into a complete Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice thing, and I loved it! *SPOILER ALERT* Sorry I just couldn’t not mention this. I LOVED the moment when Delaney walked in on Devon dancing to Bruno’s Uptown Funk. It reminded me so much of that Hugh Grant moment in Love Actually.
I have never hidden the fact that I am addicted to series. And when I can get an entire novella length set of stories from a series in a book bundle (or boxed set) then I’m a very happy reader – no going to search for each individual title. So when The Sterling University box set showed up on NetGalley I didn’t hesitate to click on it. A new to me author, a complete series in one shot, good, entertaining stories? Oh yeah, why would I pass up that chance.
I had such fun with these stories that now I’m looking for others by Rebecca Heflin. Why stop at just three fun books, right? Three couples who need a lesson taught in falling in love themselves brought a chuckle, a few laugh out loud moments, some slightly steamy moments and a grouping of very interesting stories – each with a distinct touch. I had fun in the Sterling University universe – and that is exactly why I read romance. Fun, flirty stories with believable characters and realistic situations, what’s not to love about that. I’d recommend this boxed set of the Sterling University series to any Contemporary Romance reader who enjoys a good love story, interesting characters and just escaping for a while into a lovely world.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
oops bought this back in 2018, (did i win this book too??!! really, i did some research and i think i won this one too from Goodreads oops. thank you!! i love wining, thank you!!) reviewing now March 2020 (i read this kindle version, but it will not allow me to change it here on Goodreads? not sure why? i see a kindle version available?? nuts.) what started it all ...well I won "A Season To Love", through a Goodreads giveaway, lucky me, i love winning books!! awesome book times!! and if you know anything about Beth i love FALL .. autumn is the best. i must admit something some how several of Rebecca's book have gone un-reviewed from me ... i feel terrible ... i am going to add those reviews now. i know that happens sometimes and i am going to fix it now ... book-a-gaga-don ... i made that up ... now i am having more time to review and read ... love it!! such a good romance to pick up and dive right on in. book #1 "Season to Dance" and The Sterling University Series: The Complete 3-Novella Series: (which i got back in Feb 2018, so it has not been that long ago.. fixing it now) reviewing all 3 books (collection included)
This was a pretty good box set and I enjoyed all three novella's they were really cute reads. Romancing Dr. Love...This is Sam and Ethan's story these two are both professors but are complete opposites she is not a big believer in love it is all chemistry where he is a romantic and a believer. This was a good little read. Winning Dr. Wentworth...This one is Nash and Shelby's story and was a super second chance romance and while I enjoyed it I do wish it had been a bit longer. Educating Dr. Mayfield...This is the final book in this set and this one is Devon and Delaney's book and was a good little read they were good characters and I enjoyed it
3,5 stars I struggled with this review. I am a suspense junky but there is no suspense in this series. This book is for the romance readers they will definitely enjoy these books This series of 3 books is about finding true love. 1st time love and second time love, all 3 are connected through friendships. It is written with love for the characters. I enjoyed reading it but this does not hold my heart.
Though I gave each individual story 4*, I have to give the entire set 5. I just loved the way the main characters in each story interact with each other and contribute to the other couples happiness. At times they are a bit predictable, but for a light, easy, sweet, only slightly steamy romance trilogy I thoroughly enjoyed this series. Will definitely recommend.
she believes love is not as real but just a chemical reaction in the body, he knows she is wrong and he go9 out of his way to 0prove it. this box set follows their story to see who will win out with their views
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Captivating, enjoyable and well written box set. The stories have well described characters who develops well. There are chemistry, passion, emotional ups and downs and some unexpected twists in the stories. They are all easy and quick to read but worth the time and one-click. The mix of humour, sweetness, chemistry, passion makes it an interesting and entertaining read.
The book set is a good contemporary romance read. The three couples in the books who need a lesson taught in falling in love. The books are cute stories.

They are all looking for love but have different thoughts on what that is. Very enjoyable, fun, emotional and so much more. I liked them so well I couldn't put it down. I was given a review copy buy booksprout and voluntarily review it.
A well put together set of novellas with cute and sometimes funny stories. The characters are engaging and interesting. Romance is the name of the game in this set of books. You do not want to miss out.
Three very good books in one set I do not know which one I liked the most they all have their own merits. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Sterling University book bundle has heartwarming love stories with lots of entertainment. The characters are intriguing with good chemistry. I liked reading this book.
This was a really great box set. I love how fun the stories were. They were short and light but it was a much needed breath of fresh air for me. Would decently recommend this set.
Three great novellas with similar themes. Two professors finding thier happily ever after despite past relationship issues and pesky nepotism rules.
Romancing Dr. Love: 4 stars A quick cute story of two professors finding love. Since it was a novella a lot things were glossed over and parts moved a little too quickly, but that is the norm with stort stories and novellas. Overall, an entertaining love story.
Winning Dr. Wentworth: 4 stars A light heartwarming friends to lovers romance!! This is the second book in the Sterling University series which I highly recommend if you are looking for quick light romances. I would have loved this book to be longer so more could have been done with conflict especially Shelby's ex husband and mean girl Tonya.
Educating Dr. Mayfield: 4 stars This third installment in the Sterling University series is another light entertaining romance! Great character development despite its short length. Highly recommend this series!!
I liked reading such an enchanting read, the storyline was well worth the time , with obstacles, steamy scenarios and hiden secrets as it unfolds with issues to sort out
