This is an absolutely gorgeous book. I bought the hardback version for my niece and she absolutely loved it. The illustrations are wonderful and the story is so different from the original. In this book, Cinderella's story is told from the point of view of her shoes and it's clever, imaginative, and very funny in parts. My niece loved Stomp the best and thought the illustrations for Nettle and Vermina were brilliant. This book is a big hit in her house and one that has been read daily for the past two weeks. A wonderful book for all little girls.

Readers’ Comments
‘What a clever idea to write Cinderella from a ‘shoe’ POV! A lot of fun. The children in my class loved it, particularly the girls.’ Primary teacher, aged 43
‘We (my twin girls and I) thought this book was excellent. The writing style is light and accessible, and the story is fun to read. We liked how the author took a traditional fairy tale and switched it from Cinderella to the shoe. A clever, witty story which has plenty of pace.’ Parent of twins (aged 8)
‘I liked the way the left shoe talked to the right shoe. That was funny.’ Boy, aged 7
‘Delightful drawings along with a delightful story. The design of every page looks wonderful. A lot of work went into this; the author – and illustrator – should be proud. We would happily have it in our school library. In fact, I think we now do!’ Headteacher, aged 54
‘I liked everything in this story. I am going to write a story now about Robin Hood but what the bow and arrows think. It will be fun.’ Boy, aged 9

To Sum It Up:
‘A wonderfully fun, wonderfully clever take on Cinderella – from the shoes’ perspective!!! A FINALIST and highly recommended.’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards

This book is funny . . . like REALLY funny! It's the traditional story of Cinderella, but told from her shoes' perspective. They are sisters Buckly and Stomp, and like most sisters they have their disagreements, especially when one is left behind after the ball. The illustrations take this book to the next level, leaving the traditional behind and stepping this book into a new generation of fun. I mean, ***spoiler alert***
Cinderella goes to the ball in a beefed up pumpkin monster truck, come on!
I highly recommend this book to lovers of fractured fairy tales, and graphic novels.

A wacky, fun spin on Cinderella. We all know the story. But what about the tale from the viewpoint of her shoe? After all, they go through a lot ... I loved the creative, punk-spin on this classic fairytale. The illustrations are so clever and I laughed out loud.
