They took Nadya. How is this possible? I was right there, and I couldn’t do anything. I can still hear her voice ringing in my ears as she called out my name. Derek, it echoes over and over, pleading for me to find her. I will get her back—no mater the cost. With a reluctant alliance formed between myself, a furious Zander, a cocky William, and a snarky Victoria, we venture once more into enemy territory. None of us assume that getting Nadya back is going to be in any way easy—that’s why Tommy and the cavalry are a few days behind us—but what we don’t expect is to find a brainwashed Nadya transformed into a relentless Dark Queen. Wanting us out of the way so she can carry out her nefarious plans to claim Terra Pacieme for the Dark King, she forces us through a portal. Now trapped in the Earth Dimension, we race against the clock to find a way back home to not only save the kingdom, but the Dark Queen who is trying to destroy it.

OK, first of all: I enjoyed this trilogy. I truly did. Congrats to the author for creating something like this.
But... I'm kind of confused about the target reader for this. It took me a while to get used to the first book because I was expecting something just a little bit more mature. Finally I got behind it being for children, and frankly it didn't take anything away from it because I love kids books (like Magnus Chase). But then the sex stuff started and I'm just so confused. I thought this was for like... 12 year olds at most? I don't get it. I feel like I was letting the book get away with plot holes and ridiculous situations and characters because it was for kids, but now I'm thinking... it wasn't?

It's a fun and quick read and I really recommend it if you're just looking to pass some time. If you're expecting something darker or deeper, I think the first book will already have made it clear that this ain't it. This is fluff. Clearly a first trilogy, clearly unpolished. The inner dialogues are super random and there's so many ridiculous situations and long monologues, not to mention grammar mistakes, and even some words used incorrectly like she didn't understand their meanings. The voice was so very juvenile.
I look forward to reading more from this author and seeing her develop her writing. Hopefully we'll have more show and less tell, better dialogues, and less WTF moments having to do with the characters' appearance.
I have enjoyed this series so much! I'm so looking forward to what Lizzy comes up with next. I was sad to see Victoria loose her life, but pleased to see the rest get their happy ending.
If I thought things for intense and dark in the previous book... whoa... I was not even remotely prepared for what was yet to come in this final book. Talk about dark. Was not expecting that at all. I mean, the title should have been a hint, but I was too busy reading the book to reflect on the title too much. So I'm normally not a huge fan of shifting perspectives, but it worked for the most part in this book. And yeah, there were some "oh, how convenient" moments in this story, but I guess I can just roll my eyes and move on without too much complaint. Overall, I loved the series and the way the story played out. Plus the characters, even at their worst, were great fun to follow.
This by far had the most epic fight scene in it that would warrant a great movie (even by my husbands standards) The love, betrayal, battles, and friendship allowed this book to be played out in my head just like a film!
