***Warning!! This is the sample of the complete novel*** We would love to believe that hustling in the streets is all about glitz and glamour, but that couldn’t be the furthest from the truth. No one stays up forever, and during the down times, you’ll see people for exactly who they are. When things get rough, Maine and Nyeema push through together, but life has a funny way of pulling people apart. Therefore, the question is; can they survive the rain?
The end had me stopping in the middle of my walk and grabbing my chest saying no no no the twist and turns are wild. Miss Nicole Jackson you have done it again. I'm speechless, flabbergasted and so much more. I L O V E your writing style
I loved the book all her characters are relatable to your own personality experiences and I love how she is so raw and honest about how these niggaz feel when they be out doing what they do. My favorite author hands down!!
“Oh, no, nigga. Please don’t go there.” She shook her head. Both she and Maine were oblivious to the fact that Kyra had just stepped up, and was now standing right outside of the kitchen. “Unlike you, I aint never fucked Nyeema. And truthfully, I removed my personal feelings from the situation. That’s how I allowed Kyra into my home. The motherly instincts in me couldn’t see her and that baby out on the streets. So, I sucked it up, and allowed her to come here. Even at the cost of falling out with the closest thing I ever had to a daughter. You know that me and Eema have always been close. That’s my daughter-in-law regardless, of what’s going on between you and her. And she has every right to be pissed off about Kyra being here. I would never say that she couldn’t feel some type of way. Hell, what woman wouldn’t? But at the end of the day, this is my house, and can’t nobody tell me how to run it. She has no control over this here. Her house is a different story, though. You aint had no business bringing Kyra to that girl’s house. Especially not right now. I mean, if it gets to the point where yall are completely done, and are truly co-parenting, I could see yall easing into something that’s comfortable for everybody. But that would only work IF yall were really done, and that aint the case for you, Jermaine. You’re my son. I know better. You aint done, and she aint, either. So, that’s not how you handle shit. Yeah, I know she pissed you off with dealing with that other nigga. But so what? Imagine what she feels with you having Kyra here,” Joyce preached, causing Kyra to grit her teeth, as she felt like she’d been duped. All this time Joyce had been smiling in her face, but now it all seemed fake, as she really rooted for Nyeema the entire time. -Mama Joyce

Dysfunctional relationships. A girl getting pregnant by an older man. Unhealthy situations. These are the reoccurring themes in this author’s books.
So when I first started 21 questions, I came here with a certain expectation. I expected the story to be the same as the others because let’s face it, this author writes the same story over & over. But hey people buy it.
The story starts off strong, but falls flat somewhere in the middle. I felt like the book should have been called 5th ward & friends. There were so many unnecessary appearances by characters from past stories.
Now I will never tell someone how to write their story, but if someone from the past is going to be mentioned, it should contribute something of importance to the story. & I’m not sure how seeing Jay Rock, Bee, Mark, Black Reign, and friends did anything for this story.
The story lacked balance. Every story has supporting characters, but Jazel & Craven might as well just had their own book. I don’t know if mentioning them was a set up to get people ready for their book but they were mentioned too much in this book. & again this did nothing for the story.
Now I will say the author did write a lengthy book and did a good of shedding light on “double standards” in society. If a man did half the stuff Nyeema was out here doing, would he been looked at the same? Would he be the “man” for sleeping with multiple women @ the same time or would he be viewed as disgusting?
With that being said, Nyeema may be one of the most unlikeable characters every. She’s the epitome of trifling if you ask me. Still not sure if I’m suppose to hate her or love her.
But that’s okay also because u won’t like everybody. This brings us back to the characters. Like so many of this author’s past stories, the characters are one dimensional and one in the same.
Jazel, Poo Poo, & Nyeema all truly have dysfuntional relationships. They all ghetto even Nyeema. Yes bleaching someone’s stuff while you hold your baby is ghetto. Nothing wrong with being ghetto I guess, but everybody in the 5th ward can’t be like this.
So in closing, this is meant to be constructive. This author has created some great stories, but as of lately it’s beginning to sound like a broken record.
This honestly has to be the worst book written by Nicole. Like I wasted 24 hours of my life waiting for it to get to a point where I was truly invested. The only reason I finished the book was because I said I would go this year and not stop reading a wasted book at 10% but after reading this I'm reniging on that. Nyeema wasn't shit. Throw her away 🗑You fucked this man while pregnant, had this man around your kids like shit was sweet. Buying you and you kids stuff. No, nope, naw. I get that Maine was wrong for having Kyra in that apartment but if she would of listened 👂🏽 off gate and not jump to conclusions she would of known. Soon as that man got locked up she ✌🏽. They both were materialistic but Nyeema showed her colors and not once apologized. No correction she apologized to Man but never owned up to shit with Maine stayed making everything that transpired between them his fault until her momma say something finally at the end. Yet you know this nigga has got ppl colming for him and what do you do. Rode around in the got damn car with him. Only for her ass to get shot tf up. And then the ending like you really had an epilogue to explain what happened and them living happily ever after...tf😞😕...worst read of 2018....do better shug
Jermaine and Nyeema went through hell and back for unconditional love. The book was well thought out. Nyeema is the get back QUEEN! My favorite character was Poo-Poo at first I didn't think I would like her but she is that loyal, unapologetic, ghetto as hell best friend/cousin that made the book that much better for me. Great Job Ms. Jackson. Every Nicole Jackson book I one click to buy, I don't even read the synopsis because I know it's gonna be a full book that's FIRE🚨🚨🚨
I'm not sure what I'm suppose to say. Ok. In my opinion this was not one of the author's best. The beginning was extremely ratchet and thats ok because ratchet happens. I almost stopped reading but I've read this author before so I continued. The middle kind of lost me Nyeema was doing too much...to me every female character in the book was weak. Like I said I've read this author before and am generally pleased. Would I recommend this book, no but I would recommend others from this author.
This story just felt a bit recycled to me. I think Nicole pushed through this one for her fans but really wasn’t feeling these characters. The ending felt extremely rushed and some supporting characters did not really connect with the overall storyline. Also with the overlapping of other characters things failed to flow. It was just okay in my opinion but I still enjoy reading her works.
Maine and Nyeema are that couple so used to everyone chasing after them that it breaks their ego to chase after the one they truly love. Maine was WRONG to bring Kyra into the fold without letting Eema know about her situation. Eema should have listened to Maine instead of jumping to conclusions. Most of their problems were really a maturity issue. They finally got it together but at what cost?
I love you like a fat kid loves cake, you know my style I do anything to make you smile
I didn't read the sample because I didnt want to anticipate the release of the book. I'm so happy I waited for the bookto come out!! I absolutely loved storyline!! Nyeema & Jermaine were made for each other
I enjoyed this story, I like how the author paints a picture and doesn’t just tell you the characters love each other but shows you their relationship through the story! I gave 4 instead of five stars because I feel the ending was a bit rushed, we should’ve been able to read about the time in the hospital!
Thanks for not being a cliffhanger! So many authors water down the quality of books with dumb cliffhangers....anyway, damn Maine was Bae ❤️ I like how I was able to feel both sides of the story on why they was separated. Fr fr I feel like Kam is that dude too and I wouldn’t object to a book focusing on him either. Best wishes for 2018 Ms. Jackson if u nasty
This book was EVERYTHING!!! I haven't put this book down since I started it. Nicole NEVER disappoints with her books! This book made me laugh cry and think all.at the same time.I'm glad that Maine and Eema even tho not the way it usually happens got their happy ending!!! GREAT job Nicole!!!! You're definitely a beast with that pen!!!!
I’m always pleased with your books and usually always read them within 24hrs. This book here is by far my favorite! That damn Eema took me through so many emotions, I can’t even begin to explain. Five stars just isn’t enough. I would love to read more about the other characters as well. Especially PooPoo and Tre and also Jazel.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. The ending was so unexpected. Nyeema and Jermaine’s love went through a LOT!! Most relationships probably wouldn’t have been able to endure all of the “outside influences” like Kyra and Kam. I would recommend this book as well as all of the rest of Nicole Jackson’s books. She always entertains!!
I enjoyed reading this book. I would have loved to give it a 5-star rating but it was way too many misspellings and grammatical errors. It was really hard to concentrate because of the misspellings and the he instead of she. It could have been better if not for those issues.
WOW... You just going to leave me hanging like that cannot? I cannot wait until this story is finished. You never disappoint with your books. Who got shot? When does this become available 😱😱
These two might be the dumbest of them all. They made my head hurt. Even when they in the wrong they found a way to overcome the hurt. Nicole always does a good job.
This was a relatable read. I like Ema and Maine together event though they went through the struggle. There was misunderstandings that lead to them to do things to hurt the other but overall the love they had brought them back together.
21 Questions by Nicole Jackson was a very well written book. I loved the storyline and the characters. This book is about life lessons , as well as love lessons. The characters stayed true to the storyline as well as real life persons. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Loved how the book wasn’t the typical dude gets money, gets broke and girl runs to a side dude. It definitely ended differently than I thought I just knew Kam was gong to die.
What a ride...yes so many questions...so many answers. Nyeema and Jeremiah what a ride they took us on. So much growing up they both had to do but it all worked out in the end. Great story. Amazing read!!
This book showed why communication is key. Why some relationships are best left in the past. Why you shouldn’t play with people’s hearts. That the grass isn’t always greener. Love can conquer all. Love can not survive without forgiveness. Great job
