This novel will grab your attention from the very beginning, and you will be completely immersed in the lives of the characters. You won't want to put it down. Everyone knows someone like one - or several of the people in the story. I laughed and cried a few times over. Very thought provoking. You won't be disappointed.

This is an unexpected thriller. I appreciated the addition of the philosophy of time embedded within that is thought-provoking, and yet accessible to all. It is apparent that the author is well-researched. I highly recommend this book!

"Watch" leads the reader on a thrilling adventure of intrigue and mystery. The novel begins with Edward James purchasing a watch at a local town yard sale on Maple St. in Petrolia . He thinks it is an old prop salvaged from the old theater after it burnt. As he begins to research the watch he reaches out to others on the internet as well as a jeweler in London ON. The jeweler advises James to seek out the advice of an old watchmaker in New York. His research of the watch has stirred others who are interested and thus begins the journey into the dangerous unknown.
This is a novel that will keep you on the edge and always rooting for those seeking the truth.
I would also like to thank Daniel Barton for printing me a copy of his book . I received a copy for free through Goodreads in exchange for my review.

I really enjoyed the book as I was able to identify many of the characters from the small town in Ontario. I also live there. I loved the connection between Petrolia and Grand Cayman as our son lives there. The mysterious situations made me want to keep reading at the end of every chapter. It was well choreographed between Ontario, Grand Cayman and Jerusalem.
I have an interest in clocks so the whole story around a watch was intriging for me. Time pieces are invaluable in our everyday lives.
Hope you continue to write more books Daniel.

An engaging book to read in a National Treasure kind of plot. Full of suspense and intrigue, I enjoyed travelling with the characters around the globe to find out the true story behind this mysterious time piece through a plot full of surprises at many turns. Witty, intelligent, well-researched book and we see how the author through his character in the midst of all the action, values his family highly and cherishes their close relationships.
