Rate this book
Alexander Trainor has it all. Money, power, success. He leads the lifestyle that most men would kill to have. But when his mother has a fall he starts to realise that maybe there’s one area of his life which isn’t yet complete…

Elle Blanton has not had the easiest life. A complicated divorce has left her penniless and a single parent. When she loses her job, it seems that the small life she’s crafted out for her and her daughter is about to fall apart. That is until she’s offered a new maid’s position…

But mixing business with pleasure has it’s own complications, especially when Elle’s ex-husband starts trying to cause trouble. Maybe sometimes giving in to temptation is not the best idea after all!

Good

I am a fan of Alexa Davis but this was not one of my favourites. This story was good but a little to slow for the most part. I feel like both Alex and Elle spent a lot of the book wondering about their feelings for each other. The end with Mark bothered me a bit too, he got off way to easy and with way, way too much. It was still a good, sweet romance with a little steam mixed in! I really liked Katherine, she was a great mother to Alex!

[1.5 stars] mixed feelings about the book, like the plot but not the execution. felt that the attraction/connection between alex & elle is very superficial, and the background/history of them is also very basic. its like "huh, just like that?" kind of feeling.

for example, elle keep saying the relationship with mark is toxic, buy toxic in what way? the author raise an issue but did not gave an explanation. when alex ask ryan to take on elle's case to fight the custody, ryan seems to have dig out some dirt on mark however there is no explanations on what did he find. then he received the sex tape of elle & mark, and tried to ask elle if she will be willing to pay him off that kind of thing. no link at all.

i agree with some reviews that giving mark money to pay him off is just way too easy to let him off. should have dealt through law. some grammar & spelling mistakes which i'm lazy to list down. the 2nd star is given for the plot, the execution only worth 1 star. probably wouldnt continue books from the author.

Elle is a maid in a very sleazy hotel and when it comes time to cut some staff the manager tells her she is the first to go unless she wants to sexual with him. Upset about losing her job she doesn't know what she's going to do. Alexander needs someone to help out his mother and do some cleaning. Elle is the only applicant that his mother wants even though he is hesitant about hiring her. Alexander is trying to keep his attraction for Elle in check but with each day its becoming harder to do so. Elle's ex serves her with papers suing for custody of their daughter and when she goes into work Alexander notices she's upset. Crying in his arms she tells him what's going on and by the end of the day he has a lawyer for her. Things start to progress and soon Alexander is taking Elle and her daughter on a trip to Florida. A misunderstanding when they come back and start the fight against her ex might derail their relationship.

This was a great love story. This was well written and the characters were amazing. Once I started I couldn't put it down. If you haven't read this book you should get it now you won't regret it.

I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

Alexander Trainor waited impatiently for his friend to arrive so they could try out his new golf course before the Grand Opening of his Gold Resort hotel. Ryan was always late, and Alexander had little time to waste! The only thing missing in his successful life was a family.

Ryan arrived finally and they chatted as they began to golf. Some time later, Alexander’s phone rang. The hospital was calling to tell him his Mom, Katherine, had fallen again and broken her leg. She was the only person in his life, and he was upset to have her in the hospital again. She was very independent and insisted on doing things for herself rather than accept any help, even when she needed it!

Elle works at a sleazy motel as a maid. When the boss has to get rid of some employees, she is told she will be the first to go – unless she wants to keep her job in return for “favors”. Despite needing her job to support herself and her daughter, she had to quit.

When Katherine comes home, this time she will definitely need to have help. Elle was available to accept the position helping Alexander’s mom and doing some light cleaning. The two women bonded and were good friends and it looked like everything would turn out right. But Elle’s ex-husband is not willing to stay out of her life and tries to get custody of their daughter. What will happen now? Will Elle have to take her daughter and escape from her ex? Will Alexander step in and help her fight this? Would joining together to fight this legal action bring Alexander and Elle closer together?

This is a great story with lots of friendship, caring, and relationship. The characters are really well developed and the reader is drawn into the emotional situations as the characters show how they care for each other. The story line moves at a good pace and keeps the reader interested in how things are developing. I definitely recommend this one! You won’t be sorry.

I can see that I'm in the minority here, but I absolutely loved this book. I hope you give it a chance. :)

I loved this billionaire romance. I thought it was refreshing to see a self-assured, gorgeous and wealthy man get tongue-tied and flustered in the presence of an everyday woman. It was adorable and added a humanity to him that is often missing from billionaire characters. Alexander's relationship with his mother was also a breath of fresh air and had me swooning for him from the start.

Elle is the midst of starting over after a contentious divorce cleaned out her bank account and ruined her ability to believe in love. Just when she thought she was starting to get her life back on track, she loses her job and her ex starts stirring up trouble and threatening an ugly custody battle.

Elle interviews for a position, which seems too good to be true, to help care for and clean the house of Katherine, Alexander’s mom, while she recovers from an injury. Katherine is a hoot and not shy about playing matchmaker between her new maid and her stubborn son. She not only understands the struggles Elle is going through, but she can see that they share a mutual attraction and wants to see them happy.

There were so many sweet moments in this book! It just had great characters and an aura of hopefulness. Of course there is also plenty of steam and sexy times which are off the charts hot due to the chemistry between Alex and Elle, but it’s also a really great love story.

Sexy, sweet and refreshing billionaire romance.

This book was recommended to me by an author I admire and I'm a sucker for single parent love stories. I can only guess that the person who recommended this book is either related to the author or owes her a huge favor. I'm being very generous with giving this book three stars in my opinion. The writing was very juvenile and there was absolutely no connection between the h and H they might as well have been brother and sister. I hate to be mean but even the six year old daughter was annoying as hell to me. Elle is 32 years old and she has a six year old daughter named Delaney. She's finally divorced from Delaney's dad, Mark and it's not really clear what their problems were only that they fought a lot. Mark owns a restaurant but doesn't pay any child support because Elle won't agree to his visitation demands. Now I'm no lawyer or family court judge but I do have an ex-husband and I know that's not how that shit works. So instead of taking his dead beat ass to court she works her ass off cleaning up jizz stains in a shitty motel. Alexander Trainor is 38 years old and has just opened his eighteenth hotel/resort. He grew up poor raised by a single mom after his dad split and he worked his ass off to become a successful businessman. When his beloved mom, Katherine breaks her leg he takes it upon himself to hire a housekeeper to help her out.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I decided to read it first of all, because I loved that a single mom was the focus of the title. Secondly, the cover is pretty hot. Good enough reasons for me to give the book as shot. I'm not going to describe what goes on in the book, because I feel like there are so many helpful reviews that already do that it would just be redundant. That being said, I will let you know some of the reasons I liked this book so much.
The characters were well developed through the story. The book wasn't riddled with errors which is always a bonus. The biggest error for me, because I come from a family of Disney fans, is repeatedly mentioning Disneyland in Florida. Disneyland= California. Disneyworld=Florida. I loved how the story played out, even the conflicts. This is just a really sweet story with lots of feels, some good laugh out loud moments and steamy scenes to keep things going. Overall I definitely liked it and would read it again.

This book is very entertaining with a well-developed story and great characters. Elle a struggling, single mother has just been fired from her job as maid in a sleazy motel. Alex a handsome billionaire needs to hire a temporary caretaker/maid for his mother who has broken her leg. Elle applies for the position and when they meet bam! instant chemistry. Elle has been going through a nasty divorce with her controlling ex, when he decides to apply for full custody of their daughter. How will Elle and Alex deal with their budding relationship? Can business and pleasure mix? Will Elle's ex gain custody of their daughter despite Alex's help? Does love conquer all? Romance, sexy parts and a surprising twist lead up to the HEA.

Another terrific read by this author!
Great characters and a great storyline will have you hooked from the beginning.
Elle is a single mom who is fired from her job as housekeeper at a hotel because she refused her managers sexual advances.
Alexander needs help with his mom who broke her leg but doesn’t like to be doted on and wants her independence. He places an ad which Elle answers.
Alexander’s mother likes Elle instantly (so does he) so he hires her.
There’s an undeniable attraction between the two but can they make it work or will an ex get in the way of true love?

Read For Author:
Another outstanding love story by Weston Parker this one tug at that heart. A second chance for a widowed Mother, who lost her first love when she was pregnant.
Jessica has dedicated her life to her six-year-old son Cam but is strongly attracted to the igmatic Billionaire Boss Cole - who reminds her of her late husband.
Cole grew up in the rough part uptown going through college with literally nothing. He doesn't want to ever fall back to that but he wants Jessica and has fallen for Cam too!
Can they make this work and will a surprise in the mix derail them? You really should read this amazing book. It's a wonderful book I couldn't put down.

Alex is ready to settle down and start a family, but his business keeps him busy. Elle is a single mom and desperate to provide for her daughter. One lady is determined to bring them together. Will Elle be able to help Alex relax? Will Alex be able to help her when her ex comes back into the picture?

I loved both characters. I loved the fact that while Alex could have currently been this big time playboy, he really wasn't. I thought that Elle was very strong and was proud of her for being determined to do what was best for her daughter. Great read!

A well written story with characters that you will fall in love with. Elle is a very strong young woman who is also a single mother. She wants to do what is best for her daughter and that means working where ever she needs to so they can live happy. Alexander is a billionaire who wants a family eventually but hasn't had much time to thing of settling down due to his job. When his mom is in need of help due to an accident, he hires Elle to work for them. Elle's daughter is absolutely adorable as well. A good read for a lazy afternoon.

Alex was in need of a cleaner for his mother who insist she didn't. When Elle came in for an interview Alex felt something for her but couldn't quite place it. When he introduced her to his mother, she and Elle hit it off and it started Alex and Elle's journey. As they bonded and feelings began to stir between them Alex wanted so much more but Elle's ex was lying in wait to create chaos. Will Alex be able to deter his antics, and will he and Elle get their chance for happiness? This story kept me glued to the pages!

This was a well written story with a good storyline and strong characters. With sprinkles of Cinderella here and there. Elle, a single mom is hired by Alex to help with his mom after she breaks her leg. Their chemistry is strong and they all hit it off. Lots of drama with her ex, a custody suit over their six year old daughter and more twists. A good read that was a page turner.

This is a sweet, steamy read with low drama. It was refreshing to read a story where the man still gets nervous and blushes when he realises he's falling hard for a woman. The secondary characters were great as a supporting cast, and I definitely wouldn't mind catching up with Ryan in the future *hint* Lol!! The author did a great job in keeping my attention throughout.

Elle, a single mom with a loser for an ex, is trying to make the best of her situation after getting fired from her job as a hotel house keeper. Alexander, a self-made billionaire, is trying to support Katherine, his independent mother, as much as she will allow. As the book progresses, twists and turns drive the reader deeper into their tale.

A Wonderful Sweet Heat Romance.

There’s a lot wrong here that other people have addressed but I feel the need to mention this: DisneyLAND is in California. DisneyWORLD is in Florida. People get it wrong all the time and that’s fine; it took me a while to get it right. But if you’re going to put something in a book, a quick Google search will ensure you’re putting correct information in your story. This and many other reasons are why proofreading and editing are so important.

I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
I admire David for writing about a single mom in her mid to late 30’s and single billionaire pushing 40. Usually the age gap is so much wider or just younger in general. It made this story seem more tangible in the grand scheme of fantasy romance! A definite recommendation!

The storyline was well written and the characters were so well described and developed. Enjoyable and worth the read.
They manage to find out to enjoy their journey despite that both in some ways lacks self-confidence.
Great story with lots of excitement, twists and turns and heart wrenching moments with a happily ever after.

As my first experience with Alexa Davis this was a great one! Elle and Alex had so much chemistry, and it was a slow burn too! I'm a suckered for the slow burn of attraction! I really enjoyed this story. When you include the meddling momma and the sweetest little girl, well this was a huge hit for me!! Loved it!

Awful

This was bad..very very bad. Why would you award a soon to be ex with money for him not to see his daughter he doesn't even bother with and his soon to be ex wife that he can't stand. Too unfreak'n believable. Can you say "refund"???? Stop the train wreck...
