Timmy and his best friend Fart are back; this time Timmy has a sore wobbly tooth and his mum tells him he needs to see the dentist.

The three of them set off together. Fart is surprised when the dentist removes Timmy’s tooth and wonders what he is going to do with it. Timmy tells him about the tooth fairy and putting his tooth under his pillow.

Fart is intrigued and wants to stay awake to see the tooth fairy, but will he manage to stay awake long enough to see her, or will he fall asleep?

‘The Day My Fart Followed Me To The Dentist’ is one of a collection of books by Ben Jackson and Sam Lawrence about Timmy and his imaginary friend Fart. We previously reviewed ‘The Day My Fart Followed Me To Hockey‘.

All the books are beautifully illustrated with bold, bright colours and have a cartoon look to them. They are certainly eye-catching.

This book at only 28 pages is a bit shorter than the previous one, but that didn’t take away the enjoyment, or mean that Fart got up to less mischief.

I can see Kids loving the idea of having a smelly fart as a best friend. The story is engaging and entertaining from beginning to end. Another great book is an already popular series.

The Day My Fart Followed Me to The Dentist by Ben is a children’s book written primarily to teach children on how to express emotions when they are uncomfortable with something. In this case, little Timmy feels pain in his teeth and tells his mommy. They both go to the dentist and the have it removed. The notion of the tooth fairy is implied and Timmy’s Mom is considerate enough to leave two nickels behind. One is for Timmy and the other is for little Fart, Timmy’s invisible companion.

I have read and reviewed a few books from Timmy’s adventure and each one has so far been delightful to read. The concept of fart following him around everywhere is very funny. In this story, he didn’t do anything funny or help Timmy out but normally, that has been the case before.

I believe many children would enjoy books such as this one because the illustrations are fun, the color combinations used to grab the attention of the child and there is always a learning aspect to the book at hand.

I recommend this book to families and children that wish to enjoy a wonderful read and laugh at the same time.

I heart Timmy and Little Fart!!!!

What can I say? I love, love this series so much! I have three teenagers and have experienced my fair share of "fragrant" moments with them. Yes even at my age, the kid in me still laughs about farting. Its because of my kids and the humor that allows me to enjoy these adventures. I commend the authors with their creative ways of introducing experiencing intimidating moments for kids, like the dentist in a way that can put kids at ease. I mean who wouldn't find having a BFF who was stinky share the visit with you? I can just imagine having a case of the giggles as the dentist tried to figure out the smell! !! I also noticed how the authors have made Little Farts presence be just the same as it would be for a human friend, he does Manny of the things Tummy does. Another hit in the series that teaches a great lesson through creative wit and awesome illustrations!

When young Timmy wakes from his nightly slumber, he feels pain in his mouth and knows that it is time to visit the dentist. His imaginary friend, Little Fart, accompanies him and is excited that Timmy is given the tooth to take home for the Tooth Fairy.

This is the first in the Little Fart books which I have read, and it took a few moments for me to catch my breath after reading it (no pun intended). Ben Jackson and Sam Lawrence have done an extraordinary job in creating a book for children which is funny, while bringing forth an important message about keeping your teeth healthy. Inclusive of guest appearances such as the Tooth Fairy, enchanting new worlds are built in the reader’s imagination; the reason the teeth are collected brought a smile to my face. Strangely enough, everywhere Little Fart seems to be, a pungent smell accompanies him (I am sure Little Fart visits my husband often). I found The Day My Fart Followed Me to the Dentist to be funny, charming and delightful to read. I wholeheartedly recommend it to young readers aged 5-9, so that they can build on their own extraordinary imaginations each day.

Farts are funny. There’s just no way to get around it. No matter who you are, or what your background is, chances are you have found some kind of fart, or something even sounding like a fart, pretty darn funny! Children know this, and fathers know this because their children keep reminding them of it all the time. There is no way to get more joy out of children with less work!

This is an amazing fun book for readers of all ages. I read it with my grand kids and they loved not only the story, but also the illustrations (by Danko Herrera). I thought the text and illustrations worked well together to help parents and dentists show that by going to the dentist doesn’t have to be a bad experience. “In the end, there is always the reward of receiving a visit by the magical and beautiful Tooth Fairy.”

I have shared your stories with my own family and we have all found great delight in them. Thank you for sharing with us the gift that you have obviously worked so hard to refine. I trust your book will soon be on the best seller list. If not, it should be! Five stars from us.

Finally, my advice as a parent and grandparent on the subject of farting would be to just let them roll, laugh at them, take a step back if you have to, and just be immature about it for a minute or two. They don’t say laughter is the best medicine for nothing. A good laugh can actually improve your health, strengthen your immune system, improve mood, lessen pain and protect you from the damaging effects of stress. That’s why I stated above that this book is suitable for all ages!

Wiggles at the Dentist

This is an odd little book about Timmy. This is one of the books in a series. The pictures and storyline will keep your little disengaged time and again.
Little Gary is Timmy's best friend. Mommy's toothbrush and he gave Little Gary a Hug. Tommy told mo! About his wobbly tooth. Mommy's mom decided to take him to the dentist. How did it go at the dentist? What happened to his tooth? .you get to read/listen to find out. Yipee!!

The Day My Fart Followed Me to the Dentist is the fifth book in the My Little Fart series and is as cute and funny as the title! Little Fart is fart personified and is Timmy’s best friend. They go everywhere together and talk about everything, just like real best friends! One day, Timmy’s tooth starts to hurt and he needs to go to the dentist to get it pulled. Timmy consoles Little Fart and tells him not to worry. Once the dentist removed Timmy’s tooth, Timmy immediately felt better! On top of that, Timmy got to keep the tooth to give to the Tooth Fairy! Timmy and Little Fart imagine what the wonderful and beautiful Tooth Fairy is like and Timmy explains to Little Fart that he thinks the Tooth Fairy uses all the teeth to build Tooth Fairy Land, which sounds amazing! I want to go visit Tooth Fairy Land!

I highly recommend this book for several reasons. As stated above, farts are funny. Everyone farts and everyone has to deal with other people’s farts sometimes. One of the funniest parts (I think) of the story is where Timmy is speaking with his mom and she asks, “Hmm, can you smell that?” and Timmy responds, “Nope. Must be you!” This cracked me up! Reminds me of my son who likes to say, “You smelt it, you dealt it!” Hahaha! I’m sure lots of you can relate.

Another reason this book is so wonderful is because it shows that dentists are nice, helpful and really, not scary! Most kids (and lots of adults, too) are afraid to go to the dentist. This story shows that you needn’t be afraid and supports the underlying message that it is important to take care of your teeth.

Even more important is that this book demonstrates the power of imagination. Imagination is where creativity and ingenuity begin for child development and is connected to their intellectual development. By creating Little Fart, Timmy uses his imagination and is able to entertain himself and comfort himself. He also learns a lot by explaining things to Little Fart, thus reinforcing and understanding new ideas and concepts himself.

Finally, I would be remiss in not mentioning how beautiful and colorful the illustrations are. Every page captures the reader’s attention.

I love a little fart

First time I’ve read about a personified fart. I felt sorry for LF and the blatant disregard from mother. Glad Timmy has a good relationship with his fart though.
