Dixie Levine is desperate for a new start. After being accosted by a drunk in an alley and rescued by a feisty stray dachshund she loses both her job and room because she won’t abandon her rescuer. When she’s arrested during their wedding for a crime she claims to be innocent of, it looks like there is no chance for a happy ever after. Can Dixie convince the sheriff and the town of her innocence? Will Oliver stand by her through her troubles or will the accusations and teasing of his brothers be too much for the youngest son? Dixie Levine, an orphan who is one her own now, needs to move forward in her life. She rescues a small dog, that saved her from a man that wanted to have his way with her. She ultimately lost her job due to the dog, so she embarks on the Mail Order Bride Train with 6 of her schoolmates, but not all are friends yet.
She hides the dog in her luggage, but things get out of hand when he escapes on the train!
Arriving to meet her groom, she finds she has chosen the perfect man for her and they both love dogs!

Dixie and Oliver are meant for each other and they have what it takes to become a loving couple, but trouble arrives from the Brides hometown of Portland, Maine and Dixie must get through it before they can wed. She also gets a surprising gift from her past and is able to put her life into perspective.

Another great story

laughed and cried thru this story lol I adore Mr Darcy and Oliver is amazing Dixie frustrated me at times lol this is another wonderful story in the Gunther City series.

Sketchy

Bare bones story. Marriage ceremony interrupted by accusations about theft. Dead mother revealed. Schemer who had borrowed neckace realizes he want a better marriage.

Dixie's Dachshund

Oliver and Dixie was a very cute story about the second of the Seven Gunther City Mail Order Brides. Funny and serious at times with an unusual happy ending.
