Three stars feels a bit generous. The art is still great, but the story remains kind of meh. The apes arrive on Skull Island and discover a native population of humans who can speak and who are peaceful--but also they find a lot of monsters, such as killer shrubs and, sigh, raptors. I really wish velociraptors would just not. I like them, but ever since JP, it seems like they are the go-to dinosaur, and it gets so tiresome. We also get some pterosaurs. We get a few scenes of Kong (the dead one was a female), but Kong gets barely anything to do. It's kind of lame.

I am enjoying the story, but struggling with the art.
