The book articulated most of my scattered ideas about the brokenness from the first sin to the fulfillment in Jesus. I have some ideas about 'generational brokenness' in my journals; the thought is that we are heirs of Adam and Eve's longing for Eden. We carry the emptiness that comes from the void caused by the separation. This book talked about how the brokenness was reconciled through Jesus—Him being broken in our place. These are freeing truths.
