Sam Straker hunts monsters for a living. And sometimes he tracks down runaway fairies, bribing troll pimps and fighting off disfigured johns along the way. It’s a strange world and Sam sees even stranger things on a daily basis. On his most recent job, he relives one of his most dangerous missions. Life’s a witch.
A professional photographer, writer and fan of general weirdness (both real and imagined), Tony has traveled tens of thousands of miles seeking out everything from haunted locations, UFO crash sites and monsters like Bigfoot and the Mothman. In a previous life, he worked in the independent movie industry but he finds his current career much more exciting.
Tony's first writing memory involves penning a short story about taking a road trip with his best friend and his dog (two different creatures) to watch KoKo B Ware in a professional wrestling event in Pittsburgh. He wrote that epic saga while in the 3rd grade and it was all downhill from there. His first books were a series of o)eat travelogues but recently his zombie apocalypse series, "Life of the Dead" has been a bestseller online and grossed out readers all over the world. His ultimate goal in life is to be killed by a monster thought by most to be imaginary. Sasquatch, werewolves, chupacabras, he’s not picky. If that fails, he’d enjoy making a living as a full time writer. Which of those two scenarios is more likely is up to the readers to decide.
Sam Straker is a hunter. He hunts down monsters that people don’t even believe in until they see one. But monsters are not the only thing he hunts. I am assuming that there is not that many monsters in the world so a man has to eat so he picks up little side jobs.
Sam is hired to find a fairies daughter and bring her home. While he is taking her home he tells her a story about one of the jobs he has done in the past a job hunting down a monster a werewolf.
Hunter’s Moon is a short story that can be read in a matter of minutes but it reads like a full length novel. There is action on almost every page that will keep you glued to your seat and the adrenaline pumping wanting to know what is going to happen next.
I loved reading Hunter’s Moon and hunting monsters with Sam and would like to hear more of Sam’s horrifying stories. There was one little thing about Hunter’s Moon that disappointed me and that is it was too short.
I would recommend Hunter’s Moon to anyone who is a fan of werewolves and other monsters.
Not a bad little monster story. The first jump between the present and the story was a little jarring and I saw a typo. The story itself was creative and interesting. I really liked the Monster Hunter.
