Worthy to Write is a devotional written to speak joy, courage, and worth to authors. It is written in a daily format spanning a thirty day period. Each day has a beautiful full color picture and a scripture verse along with a prayer. The prayers cover a number of subjects such as the recognition of the loneliness of an author's life and the anxiety that sometimes comes, the need for guidance, the joy and privilege and the fears of being God's instrument. There are prayers that praise and affirm the promises and attributes of God and His wisdom and help in time of need. There is a strong focus on one's relationship with God the Ultimate author and honoring Him through the words the author may write. Although written for authors, any woman could read these prayers and apply them to her life, to her chosen field of employment, to her relationship with the Almighty God. As a bonus, at the end of the book are samples of Christian fiction from the authors of this book, Diane Lesire Brandmeyer, Angela Breidenbach, Liz Tolsma, and Jennifer Vader Klipp. Worthy to Write is an inspirational book for personal prayer and meditation--one to return to again and again.
I received a complimentary copy of the book and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.
