Halloween and stuff...
Halloween is stupid. Especially werewolves.
Laurent Shadowbane has absolutely no mind for all the excitement, especially since the whole supernatural community goes crazy on that day. As a solitary witch, all he wants is to spend some quiet evenings in his personal library until all the hubbub is over.
Too bad the werewolves ruin all his plans. Though this time the troublemakers don’t come as little pups that want to mark his garden or mock his chocolate…no, this time complications come in form of a damn hot six-pack.
And Adonis doesn’t seem to be able to leave him alone.
But Laurent doesn’t even like werewolves!

Die Geschichte um Jon und Laurent hätte für einen gemütlichen Leseabend so schön sein können, denn die Idee eines ständig grummelnden Hexers, der niemanden leiden kann, hat eindeutig was.
Leider ging die Umsetzung ziemlich in die Hose. Laurent ist den Großteil der Story damit beschäftigt entweder zu grummeln oder x-mal zu erklären, wen oder was er nicht leiden kann. Nix gegen Wiederholungen, aber ich hatte das schon nach dem 1. Mal lesen kapiert. Dagegen bleibt Jon nichtssagend und blass, was auch für die Geschichte selbst gilt. Noch dazu gibt es Ungereimtheiten im Plot, denn wie Laurent und Jon von zwei Männern, die sich kaum kennen und ohnehine nie eine Beziehung haben können, weil ... (Laurent lässt sich auch darüber unzählige Male aus), auf einmal zu uralten Seelengefährten werden - die Erklärung wird in einem Nebensatz abgehandelt und war alles andere als glaubwürdig für mich.
Und dann die unzähligen Fehler. Bei allem Verständnis, aber auch in einer Geschichte die nur 99 Cent kostet, erwarte ich als Leserin wenigstens eine Grundkorrektur und keine 60 Seiten, von denen fast keine ohne Tippfehler, Kommatafehler, Grammatikfehler etc. daherkommt.
Tut mir leid, aber dafür gibt es nicht mehr als den obligatorischen Stern und schon gar keine Leseempfehlung

A great quick read
I really enjoyed this quick read and would like to see a sequel to this to be honest. I thought the premise of the grumpy witch and handsome werewolf was adorable. I really enjoyed it.
