Did not enjoy. 2 too many prangs, not enough accuracy in Britishness, weird, weird fixations on harry Potter.

A Harry Potter fans dream adventure story. Must-read

This is the story of a diehard Harry Potter fan better known as a potterhead. Follow the adventures of this 11-year-old boy as he sees the first Harry Potter movie and becomes hooked. Then his adventure begins. He grows up and begins to search out the truth about magic. Follow the adventure and be surprised and entertained at all of the magical twists and harry potter lore in magic that exists in his real world and the world of make-believe. An entertaining story that intertwined movie characters in real life people and creates an entertaining adventure. Check it out

Interesting

While I saw all the Harry Potter movies I never read her books. This is a fun read. It takes Harry Potter to another level which I found quite entertaining.

I’m several chapters into this book, and for the most part I’m enjoying it. I keep wondering though, if it is self published. The book is riddled with mis-spellings and grammatical errors. It needs a bit of editing. My other “complaint”, for lack of a better word is that I would not be able to share it with youngsters. We’ve already had an F-bomb and a sex scene. And a character with a sleazy, dirty mind. While it’s not graphic, it’s more than I would want children to be reading. And that is the real magic of Harry Potter. It’s a great story than can be shared by old and young alike. I will probably finish this book, but it is irritating me a bit.

A Psychotic Break! I thought I was having one until I realized I was in the middle of reading J K Rowling Is A Wizard by Alex C McDonald! What fun! If you are a Potterhead, then this is the book for you. Sean Morris who pretended to be Harry Potter with his childhood friends playing other characters goes through years of real HP adventures until he is convinced by his psychiatrist that he has imagined it all. He straightens out his life until one day......we’ll you’ll have to read the book yourself. Totally enjoyable! Felt like I was getting to read another HP book. You wish you could, don’t you?

Funny. Ironic. Creative. Silly. Cringeworthy. Hilarious. Satirical.

All these words describe this book. Sometimes all at once.

I laughed, I groaned, I rolled my eyes. I kept reading. I laughed some more.

A few typos, nothing too major. I love the ties to other fandoms, too.

Just gotta mention how much i loved the way this book ended. I smiled. It seriously couldn't have ended better. The ending was perfect!

I'm not gonna give anything away but if you like satire and are a potterhead, read this book. Some adult content, so maybe not for the kids. Just sayin.

This story is full of crazy ups and downs; I think any Harry Potter fan would enjoy it and find humor in certain aspects. The characters were engaging for me, though I did want to smack a couple of them from time to time. McDonald crafted an interesting plot, though there were a few things I didn't find believable/realistic (certain dialogue/actions in a hospital setting). Overall, this is a fun, quick read.

Magic

Sean Morris loses his job, his idea for a financial merger is stolen, and he finds out magic is real. He embarks on a journey to right the wrongs done to him. He suffers a psychotic break, is hospitalized, then turns his life into a peaceful one. But, was he insane or did the wizards get to him? This is a fun book for fans of Harry Potter and the legend of Merlin.

Sean was a huge Potter fan as a child, but as an adult he feels that its time he grew out of such things, until he witnesses something incredible. Could magic be real? A fun read with some great humor. A must for Harry Potter fans.

Bit of fun

An interesting spin on Harry and JK. It doesn't suffer from logical consistency but with this type of story that is not surprising.
If that doesn't worry you or you are not after deep characterisation you may enjoy.

Clearly a YA novel. It was a unique take on the Potter crew. My complaint is the fact the main characters appeared to be sociopaths.

So I loved the idea of this book and it would be a great read for people who like comedy and spoofs, for me I thought the humour went too far in to ridiculous occasionally  but that's just me because I'm fussy when it comes to comedy! However, this wasn't what put me off this book. Although I did enjoy the story and I thought it was very clever and inventive, I just thought it needed a really good edit. There were lots of mistakes, which I usually don't comment on because I know how hard it is to edit when your a self-published author (real editors cost a bomb) but that coupled with sentences that I just wanted to cut in half and simplify to make the story move faster did start to bug me. Don't get me wrong, like I said this is a good book, but occasionally the writing is too long winded and clumsy. It just needs a few really good rounds of editing in my opinion, preferably done by someone who is British. I'm not sure if this author is English, but I am and although the characters did sound English it was often too much and I found myself raising my eyebrows since I have never heard anyone in England sound like that unless they were acting...

As always, this is just my opinion, don't let me discourage you from reading it yourself and forming your own opinion.
