She winds up in a conundrum…find out how it works out!
Ash has graduated from the New York Culinary Institute and intends to open a posh restaurant in Romance, after inheriting a house from a grandmother she never knew. Adam sees Ash and tries to make a good impression, but messes it up! This is another fun read, with a cat and a dog, adding to the fun. You will surely want to read this one, to find out if Ash has a chance to fall in love, or if her move to Romance was a mistake!
A story with an interesting twist. Inheriting a house from a grandmother she never met and being brave enough to move to a town where she knew no one, Ash had ambitions to open her own restaurant. On her first day in town she adopted a cat and made a friend. She also met a man. Adam was smitten by Ash, but she had a secret that kept her from encouraging him. I have read and enjoyed several books by this author, but this one was full of bursts of frequent ignorant suppositions with sudden bouts of acting submissive and fearful. Her character was not engaging for me. I understand she had a rough childhood, but it was handled in such a manner that I found her character to be unlikable. Not the author's finest book
I read this book as part of the Fall Into Romance boxed set. I had never read anything by this author and was pleasantly surprised! It is a lovely story! I like it that the female main character of Restoring Romance an acquaintance is of the female main character of Finding Dori, which is a part of the same boxed set. I received a copy and chose to review it.
Ash is damaged from things that happened in her past. Adam is best described as: stern countenance, soft heart. This story had me crying. Wow. Just wow. What a rollercoaster of emotions. This story is a real winner and this author has a new fan.
I received a complimentary copy of this book (Fall Into Romance) and voluntarily posted an honest review.
Ash and Adam are cousins, but not, who are in love. Fearing her growing attraction for her first cousin, Ash does everything in her power to convince him she doesn't care about him. And it works so well, he paints her new house black and hot pink because he thinks those are her chosen colors! Lol. Hint: they're not.
Ash and Adam have such a wonderful and surprising story. They are two total opposites that are attracted to each other, all while fighting their feelings. Will they ever figure out they would be better together than apart?
Restoring Romance is very enjoyable. I read it in two days, because I wanted to get to the end to see what would happen. I loved the drama between Ash and Adam. Great characters, easy to read, and all around a great book.
I forget how well written Dearen's books are until I pick up another one. No surprise, I enjoyed this one. In fact, I am now rereading her Best Girls series because of it.
Such a fun, sweet romance. They start out at odds with each other but quickly come to care for each other. Then there's the mistaken identity issue. Totally charming.
