"Look it's not about me, it's about us, and when we stand together we can do anything," Bernie Sanders tells the volunteers at the Reno Rally in December 2015, pointing his finger directly at me, Kacey recalls, urging all of us to do more. "At that moment, Kacey says, "I feel the Bern."

Soon, he is co-leading 300 people from 30 states to go to Iowa for the first Democratic Party caucus to begin a journey traveling around the country and the world.

My Journey with Bernie is an adventure and reads like a "roller coaster ride" with incredible highs, steep drops, and lows with inspirational, uplifting stories about the people who are bringing enthusiasm, hope, and leading a new political revolution.

I grew up exploring the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, which sparked my love of outdoor adventures and the mysteries of nature. After earning degrees from UCLA and Wharton, I built a career in high-tech while raising my family in Northern California.

Now based in Oregon, I stay active in the outdoors as a Sierra Club outings leader and volunteer in my community, including leading the National Writers Union Writers Corner program. When I’m not writing, I’m exploring, teaching, and enjoying time with family.

A political revolution always requires a lot or volunteer work done by a lot of people, and My Journey with Bernie is a history book that provides a real idea of what a soon-to-volunteer individual is in for. My Journey with Bernie has a wealth of information for anyone who has not been involved directly in a national campaign, and the author provides an invaluable list of suggestions for effective campaigning that every campaign worker for any level of public office should read to deploy. Effective campaign tactics are key and essential for winning elections. The last chapter alone is worth the price of this book.
