Ce recueil d’écrits politiques contient des ébauches de constitutions pour la Pologne et pour la Corse, l’article pour « Économie politique » écrit pour l’encyclopédie et quelques lettres.
Si on est loin d’y trouver l’expression la plus achevée de la pensée du genevois, on y reconnaît tout de même le même schibboleth génial : sa capacité d’être aussi brillant que touchant.
Rousseau, pas besoin d’être en accord avec lui pour l’estimer et même, pour l’aimer.
