My favorite mandala book so far. Clear Instructions and ideas on how to work with color. The creations are primarily the dot variety of mandala art, which I find more relaxing than trying to draw designs.
Beautiful pictures, great combination of colors! There are not only 50 designs with clear instructions on how to create them, but also tips on finding and chosing stones, how to create own designs, which kind of things can be used as dotting tool and so on...
I don't know that I'm ever going to paint stones with these designs, but they're certainly pretty enough to aspire to! The technique looks simple enough, requiring only patience and a steady hand with the right tools.
Wow, the stones and designs are stunning. I loved Natasha’s unique vision and creativity and can’t wait to try some of these. I would have given this 5 stars if the book and instructions were just a little larger as some were just a little difficult to see exactly how she did each step.
2021 is looking like it's going to be a crafty year! I picked up this book because I'm hoping to leave some happiness around my neighborhood during my walks and needed some inspiration. Mandala Stones is that and so much more! The mandalas in this book are gorgeous! I completely got lost in the patterns and even added a few to my embroidery ideas folder. Though the mandalas look super hard to paint, the instructions are clear and there's an excellent page listing all of her painting and dotting tools.
