CAGING THE MERROW is the thrilling third and final book in the dark historical fantasy series, The Merrow Trilogy.
Writer, artist, and underwater fire-breather, Heather Rigney likes to make stuff. Stuff with words, stuff with paint, stuff that's pretty, and stuff that's not. Heather's stories reflect a dark, gothic childhood spent in the woods of northern Rhode Island. At the moment, she resides in Pawtuxet Village, RI with a family (both chosen and created) that she adores.
Waking the Merrow (release date: June 9, 2014) was adapted from the short story, Mermaids Are Not Nice, which can be found in the anthology DIVE: A Quartet of Merfolk Tales.
I loved the Merrow Trilogy and hated to come to an end. I want more. I want to know what happened to Nomia. I want to hear more of Evie's adventures. I particularly liked the references to local settings and local history. Well done. I hope Heather Rigney writes more in the future.
Enjoyed the entire trilogy, I was hooked by the end of the first chapter & didn't want the ride to end. There are enough twists & turns, you can't wait to see what's beyond the next bend. Great characters that continue to develop as the story flows, & definitely a page turner to keep you interested until the end. I would love to see another book in the series.
I grew up in Pawtuxet, RI and enjoyed the reference to different parts of RI. I thought it was a pretty good ride ... decent original story. I liked the writers style for the most part ... ordered the next two books of the series.
The final installment of Heather Rigney's Merrow trilogy is here! In Caging the Merrow, Heather mixes her signature snark with the monstrous and macabre to craft a suspenseful, page-turning series finale. This book made my "best of" list for 2017! Thank you for a wonderful leave from reality!!!!
