I loved the first book by this author and the second didn't disappoint. Legacy made me feel more emotions then I knew how to deal with. I adore the two main characters. Cannot wait for C. L. Howland's next book.

C.L. Howland has hit a home run with this second novel following the young couple, Mina and Sam. Her portrait of small-town life in Vermont, as everyone adjusts to life as an adult, with all the responsibilities and real-life problems folks face is spot-on. Touching on PTSD that can occur whether you are a sniper during the Iraq War, or the daughter of a mother, much damaged by what life has dealt her, the author displays empathy and incite into the struggles many face each day. I highly recommend this book, but be sure you read My Mother Grows Wallflowers first, you won't regret it.

Legacy of a Wallflower by C.L. Howland exceeded my expectations with unexpected story lines that continue the story of Sam and Mina. After reading My Mother Grows Wallflowers last year I wanted to know more about these people who came alive on the pages of the novel and was thrilled when I read another book was being released.

The characters in Legacy of a Wallflower are so authentic in how they deal with what life throws at them. I was struck by the depth of emotion in the author's writing. I loved every minute of the book, and I wanted it to last longer. I hope to read whatever comes next from this talented author.
