In book four of the Major Eights series, Becca shoots, but will she score a meet and greet with her favorite basketball player?
When Becca finds out about her school's free throw competition, she is ready to put her basketball skills to the test! And if she wins, she'll get to meet her favorite basketball player! But after a series of bad practices, her nerves start to get the best of her. Can the Major Eights help Becca regain her confidence and meet her hero?
3.5 stars. in this one, the guitar player of the band (Becca) is given the opportunity to meet one of her favorite basketball players if she wins a free throw contest. She practices a lot but seems to have no shot against a kid whose dad works for the local university and has a private coach. In the end, we learn that fame is in the eye of the beholder and we all have something enviable about us.
Becca might get a chance to meet Lucy the Leaper, her favorite basketball player! All Becca has to do is win her school's free throw competition. Should be easy, except competitor Robbie is really good--he even has a private coach! Can the Major Eights help Becca practice so she can win the competition?
Another fun Major Eights title. I appreciate the diversity and the music--something often requested but hard to find for this age.
