A wolf, a human, and an assassin walk into a barn. It sounds like the beginning of a joke, but for Danny, this is her life. Running from one abandoned barn to the next, Danny and her three men desperately try to outrun all the death and destruction. But how do you outrun a war that was started over you?

Danny's Dance is the first novella in the Triple Threat Series. It's a spin-off from my bestselling serial My Winter Wolf, but can be read entirely on its own.
Arizona Tape lives her dream life hanging out with her dog and writing stories all day.
Her favourite books to write are urban fantasy and paranormal romances with queer leads, stories that she wished were around when she was younger.
When she’s not writing, she can be found cooking up a storm in the kitchen, watching shows that make her cry, or trying her hand at her new hobby of the week.
She currently lives in the United Kingdom with her girlfriend and her adorable dog who is the star of her newsletter. Sign up here for adorable pictures, free books, and news about her books: www.arizonatape.com/subscribe
Okay - I am normally pretty easy going when it comes to reviews...I am much more interested in the story than I am in the technical perfection of the actual writing but this book was written so terribly that I could not continue reading. Something I have only had happen one other time. Terrible. Do not read unless you are upset with yourself and looking for some masochistic self punishment. Terrible.
The blurb for Danny’s Dance did nothing for me but this book kept getting recommended by different people so I finally caved and bought it, two months later and I actually get around to reading it. And what did I find? A confusing mess.
I don’t like being negative but from the first page right through to the end I found Danny’s Dance to be confusing. First: the story appears to start in the middle. Second: things happen unexplained, characters are introduced without an actual introduction, description or any preamble whatsoever. Third: the storyline jumped and the pacing was a bit all over the place.
Also, for such a short novella, there were an awful lot of grammatical errors.
Now, I can kind of see why people would like it. It’s RH, there’s wolf shifters, and plenty of obstacles to overcome, and Danny is a rather unique and contradicting character. But, unfortunately, I won’t be continuing this series.
Danny was already a favourite character of mine, from reading My Winter Wolf Series. I was soo excited to get to know Danny and her men more and her story. I loved the backstory on how she had come to meeting Regan and how her and JP had known each other since childhood, it's soo sweet.
I got to see a slightly different side of Ashley and away from her lovestruck self in My Winter Wolf hehe. It was really nice to see who she is away from Akira and I love her character. She has a perfect personality mix that I love and is relatable. Her and Aspen's bickering is just hilarious, always love their sibling moments hehe.
There was enough action in the story to keep us going and I was surprised to see how Darren was introduced. I wasn't expecting it to be that way and I really liked it. It was different and refreshing. I absolutely love Darren, now that we have more of him. My favourite was Aspen, but I think Darren has definitely taken top spot for me hehe.
The only disappointing thing about this book was that it ended at the good bit. Arizona! How could you do this to me! Now I have to wait till the next book to find out what happens grrr. . .
Arizona has done a beautiful job setting up the pack, the backstory and the story of Danny and her scooby gang and I can't wait to see where things go from here and where the series will end, whether it stops when they meet Akira or continues on.
Absolutely loved Danny's Dance by Arizona Tape! We first meet Danny and her men in Ari's My Winter Wolf serial that came out earlier this year. It was great to get some background into Danny and her guys, made some of the events in MWW make more sense. We get to learn more about our favorite cray cray girl, Chesca, in this one as well. You can read this as a standalone, but I think reading MWW helps bring everything together.
I liked Danny in MWW but she definitely wasn't my favorite. This book make her jump higher in my like list. You get to see her fearlessness and vulnerability, which adds to the depth of her character. Her men...don't even get me started on how much I love them!! My favorite is J.P., but it might be a tighter race than before haha. I can't wait to read more in Danny's series, with the guys getting their own books. I'm glad Danny wouldn't stop talking to Arizona, I was really happy to see her create this spinoff series/prequel/whatever you want to call it haha.
Arizona Tape is literally amazing! Usually I'm not a huge fan of spin offs, purely for the fact that I'm usually super loyal to the original characters, but Arizona has literally made me a fan.
This book was insanely good! It was so interesting seeing behind the curtain of Danny and her Men. I loved every single page.
Seeing the connections formed in this book really help you understand the events of the main story, it's not just a spin off, it is it's own story and despite it being characters I already know, I felt like I was meeting while new characters.
Regen is probably my favourite of the group, he's just so manly and perfect! But I am deeply curious to see more of Darren.
Arizona Tape creates an immersive and unique world in this spin off, Danny’s Dance. This is the first of her books that I’ve had a chance to read. Her fans highly recommend reading her series from the beginning. The Danny character is intriguing, a wolf shifter with two mates, who seems to be tempted to take on a third lover. The fantasy had some elements of romance, but didn’t drift too far in that direction. Reading only a portion of the story was confusing at times, so I would recommend beginning Arizona’s books at a logical starting point, probably with My Winter Wolf to best enjoy her series about Danny and her conflict with Chesca - a friend turned foe in this segment of serial.
This is a spin off from My Winter Wolf but it's set before that. Danny has her true mate Regan and her childhood sweetheart JP (who is not a wolf)
Danny caused her best friend Chesca to lose one of her life's and now Chesca is back and out to get Danny
I really enjoyed getting to know Danny Regan and JP after meeting them in MWW and seeing them together and learning more about them. Both Regan and JP are so different from each other and I like seeing how each of them is with Danny, their relationships are so sweet and loving
This is a great start to Danny's story, with excitement danger and love, I seriously cannot wait for book two and I highly recommend this book
If you have read Tape's Winter Wolf serial, Danny's Dance takes place before the events in Winter Wolf. Danny has two mates: Regan (her true mate) and JP (who is human). Danny is being chased by the Chesca, who blames Danny for one of her deaths.
To be honest, I wasn't sure if I would like this story, because Danny kind of annoyed me in the Winter Wolf series, but being in her head and learning more about her background gave me a different view of her. I like how Regan and NO are so different, but work so well together and with Danny. I can't wait for the next book!
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed an ARC of this story.
A short story about Danny and her group in a world at war and paranormal seems the norm. I’ve not read any others from the series, but I found the story to be fun and fast paced and piqued my interest. I’ll definitely go back and read more of the series. The group is definitely different. Her two friends are twin brother and sister. The other two males are her lover and her mate. Not sure how that works out but by the end of this story things are about to change.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
I love that this book gives us more insight to the beloved characters from My winter wolf. I love the different aspect's of JP that he isn't perfect yet he is. I really enjoyed how Darren was unexpectedly introduced I can't help but wish it hadn't ended at such a interesting development . I really like how Danny's wolf isn't so excepting fully of all the men but underneath she likes them. It is a must read. I can't wait for more.
It says it can be read on its own but I personally wish I had read My Winter Wolf before this as I was really confused what was happening in the beginning. But OMG was it AMAZING!!! I can't wait to see what happens between Danny and Darren!! You evil author ending it there!!
It’s so good! A spin-off from My Winter Wolf, you don’t need to have read those first but it probably helps - plus they’re awesome so you should. I loved seeing their backstory and more about who they were before. There’s more insight into Chesca that was quite interesting. Danny is such a fun character and I love her guys. I can’t wait for more!
Loved Danny’s Dance. If you have read My Winter Wolf serial then you’ve already met Danny and I love the MWW serial. We learn more about Danny and her men in this book but you can read this as a stand alone novella. We also learn more about Chesca in this book and garner more insight into her past and why she’s a little off her rocker. I can’t wait for book 2!
In this novella we are given a little more back story when it comes to Danny and her men. I really enjoyed the introduction of Darren and cannot wait to see the relationship develop. It was a quick read that left me wanting more!
This series follows Danny and tells of her meeting Darren and how the war started. I like this series even more then the other. Scored it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the multiple editing errors.
I really enjoyed this book, it was a tad confusing at first however probably because I did not read My Winter Wolf. Regardless of that it started to make sense and I got sucked right Into the story! I can't wait to read the next book :)
This is a novella of Danielle's life before meeting Akira. I loved getting to know Danny better and seeing more of the dynamic with her and her mates. We also see more Chesca in this book and see the full depth of her crazy. I can't wait for the next installment.
I really enjoyed this story. It was fast paced to the point and left you wanting so much more. I love the world Arizona has created and I love that we get to get a glimpse into Danny and her guy's story! I for one can’t wait to read more!
I got this book not realizing its part of a series that you won't get without reading other books. I was totally clueless about storyline. Couldn't get into a stuttering guy and crazy dead friends
I enjoyed the premise of the story, though in parts I felt like I was missing something. Overall, good plot line and I liked the dynamic between the characters.
The pace of the story was very fast, and I was lost from the beginning. I think it must continue a series, because the fast pace, number of characters, and relationships were either mixed up or complex. It must be me, because others love this author, but I just couldn't read this.
An interesting read, a little different from my usual reads but rather enjoyable! The characters are engaging and the story pulls you into their works before you notice.
I really enjoyed reading about Danny and her guys. This is a quick read but it’s definitely worth it. I can’t wait to read more about her story and find out more about what caused the war.
Is book was super enjoyable. I could not put it down. Danny is a strong main character and the way the book starts off is super dramatic and in the midst of an war. worth the read!
Although Danny's Dance is a spin-off from My Winter Wolf, I found the plot to be well written out. The development of Danny's , JP's and Regan's character was interesting and it made me see a new side of them. This story was quite interesting and enjoyable. This story will take you on an enjoyable and an amazing ride.
So, although I loved reading this book, I do wish I had read the My Winter Wolf series as I believe this book is a spin off from said series. I felt like I was missing quite a few things that I might have needed to know to get into the story better and to have a little more understanding as to what was going on. But, alas, I appear to like to do things bass ackwards because I'm weird like that.
However, that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the relationship Danny, JP and Regan have. It's so sweet and so nice to read. I like Darren as a new addition to the book. I'm very much intrigued and looking forward to how his and Danny's relationship will develop. I enjoyed reading about Ash and Aspen too. I think their quirk and fun personalities pull the group together. I'd like to know more about the storyline and am looking forward to see where it all pans out and how things will develop!
It was a very enjoyable read and I'd gladly recommend!
