When I first encountered American Football, while my wife and I were channel hopping one Sunday way back in 1985, I thought it was absolute twaddle and couldn't understand anything about it. 'Switch that rubbish off' I said to Linda and, of course, she did!
The following sunday the same thing happened and I said I would persevere ... and, almost unbelievably I have hardly missed a televised game since!!!
This book, as the blurb suggests, is a must for NFL fans. The photography is excellent and the accompanying words tell the story of the game through the eyes of the players, the coaches and the cheerleaders as well as describing in detail the off the field action of a Superbowl Sunday and also of some of the plays involved in a game.
It can be read at a sitting or taken slowly so as to appreciate what it is all about (if the reader is anything like I was initially, that is essential) and can be looked at again and again.
