I 'm very lucky to have the indulgence of time and space to enable me to write. I took a sabbatical from work to accompany my partner on his bucket list travels and adventures, and never went back. I really thought I would struggle with all the free time, so decided to write to keep myself occupied. Now writing has consumed my time and I am never sure where we will be or when, hence my novels could be classed 'international' as they may have been written across a few countries. We are still travelling, although we do pop back to the UK for a few months every now and again.

I love the fact that no matter what our age we can use new technology to connect to the rest of the world and enhance our lives. Back in the UK I have my friends and family and with emails, phones, skype or face-time, we are never out of touch for long. Even my mother at eighty-six uses face-time to catch up with me. I have the world at my fingertips and only twenty-four hours away from anywhere.

Being a 'mature aging gracefully' woman, I feel akin to the problems of aging and relationships. I spent many years on my own before finding my truly remarkable and very patient partner who I happily gave up my whole world for. My stories are about mature relationships with mature people. People who have character and humour, who have a history; people just like us.

I like to call it Hen Lit, not Chick Lit, but it is not just about falling in love. They are about real relationships.

I hope you enjoy my stories. Please check my web page or social media pages if you would like to contact me. I love emails and try to answer every one as soon as possible.

Yes! This must read is another easy, self-help instructional book that’s chock full of useful information, ideas and suggestions to keep handy & to help increase your success! ... I’m not even a writer, but as an avid reader & fan who loves connecting with the same peeps on social media, this has enlightened me! ... I know this would help not just authors, but also their PA’s or VA’s, and definitely promoters as well as other avid readers, who like me, want to thank their Indie authors by leaving honest & thoughtful reviews! ... Each of these two authors has their own expertise that is combined here to share with everyone! ... Even tho I volunteered to read How to Navigate: The Road to Building Reviews, these are my honest feelings and I also pre-ordered my own kindle book to keep forever :D So yes, I highly recommend this, plus any other books by these 2 wonderful authors.

Reviewed for Readers' Favorite:

How to Navigate the Road to Building Reviews: A 'Go To' Handbook for All Authors by authors Allyson R. Abbott and Donna Wolz is an informative compilation and explanation of how to go about finding reviews, and what these particular businesses/websites/social media forums entail. The tone of the book is friendly, it's as though the authors are talking to you. How to Navigate the Road to Building Reviews comprises page after page of valuable information, there is no fluff to be seen for miles. The format is clear and easy to read and understand.

As an author myself, I fell head over heels in love with this book. It is definitely the Holy Grail of information for any author who is on the prowl for reviews of their book, or also any would-be writer who is thinking about starting to write a book and what goes into the process of garnering reviews. We live in a world where the advancement of technology and its policies and processes are cyclically changing, and this book will help you catch up to speed. There are hundreds of books out there that try to tell you that they are the be-all and the end-all of information that pertains to getting reviews. I have probably downloaded and bought them all, so I feel that I am safe in saying that this book is the best one I have ever been fortunate enough to come across. The only qualm I have is that, as amazing as this book is, I feel that it deserves a better cover to go along with it. Other than that, if you are a writer, or are wanting to become an author, grab this book. Trust me - you want it and you need it in your writing life.

A companion book

While much of this book was a repeat of their book on navigating the social media maze, it does have some good info for reviews. While I had already checked out Amazon's policy for how not to have reviews removed, this part alone is worth your reading. There are several important nuggets you will find.

A great instruction guide giving definitions, guidelines, suggestions, and a roadmap for increasing the number of reviews you receive on your book. It was well organized, easy to read, and made a lot of great points.
