International Bibliography of Meteorology: From the Beginning of Printing to 1889

Rate this book
A new one-volume edition of the four-volume bibliography originally compiled between 1872 and 1889, and produced by the US Army Signal Corps between 1889 and 1891. The same 16,000 items that were listed in the four-volume work (selected from 60,000 records) are listed here, providing access to the most important citations to meteorological and environmental literature published before 1889. Approximately two-thirds of the entries are in languages other than English, with ten percent of the entries earlier than 1750. This edition has been completely re-edited to include all the errata, additions, corrections, and supplements of the four-volume original. It is divided into subject headings and subheadings. An author index appears at the end of each volume. Fine production, rugged binding. Published by DIANE Publishing Co., 600 Upland Ave., Upland, PA 19015. Annotation copyright Book News, Inc. Portland, Or.
