Best-selling author Christine Harvey shows women how to unleash the power within themselves to come forward and make a difference in society and the world around them. Can a girl run for President? Absolutely, according to author Harvey, who shows women how to get the most from themselves to project an image that is successful and empowering. By following her 3-step process, women can discover how to up their credibility and influence and how to use power talk to effectively resolve problems by speaking up and, more importantly, speaking to the right person. This is the time for women to come forward as never before. Christine Harvey takes women on the road to their own personal development.
I read this book years ago; and kept it and shared it, because there's a chapter in there about naming the credibility each of us already has by virtue of our particular, specific life experiences. Those things we know from having lived our life. From a confidence-creating, leadership, and life-appreciating perspective, we are most credible and powerful when we're speaking from a place of our lived experiences. In everyday interactions and relationships, we get to own and appreciate where life has taken us, who we've become. Just being ourselves influences our surroundings. That was an a-ha moment and a blueprint to get started.
I think it would be great to have a woman president if we could find the right person. The men are sure messing the country, give us woman a chance. A woman would be good because we have less ego, can listen better, we work and play with others well and we get stuff down. We are also good at compromise.
The printing format makes this book difficult to read - I dread picking up the book & trying to read it for this very reason, although I believe the content is likely worthwhile.
