Can be read as a stand-alone novel.

A divided bear clan is a powerless one.

Emma Elliot has a step up as the alpha her clan needs or claim her own freedom by loving Mason Covey. The adorable, free-spirited, porcupine shifter charms his way into her heart by being exactly what she needs in her life.

However, with a rival bear clan poised to take control of Elliot Clan’s resources, now is not the time to appear weak. Emma’s mother—the current alpha—wants her to follow tradition and produce bear cubs to “secure her place” as the new alpha. But what about Emma’s wishes?

What Emma wants and what her clan requires of her might be two different things. How much is she willing to sacrifice to become the leader her people need to win the coming war?

Hattie Hunt is the collaboration between two authors, S.M. Blooding and Alivia Patton .

Alivia Patton lives in a castle with her knight in shining armor. Assuming there are castles in Montana and her husband slays dragons while she isn’t looking. Citing a decided lack of medieval grandeur in Montana, Alivia spends her time dreaming of adventures in the Welsh countryside while wearing an epic cape that blows just right on the cliffside winds. Or, writing books while playing keyboard Jenga with three cats and the dog. Her husband does, occasionally, slay dragons.

S.M. Blooding lives in beautiful Montana with her Darling Dork, his two part-time girls, and their cat, Tesla. She enjoys writing and creating with her wonderful husband and dreaming about Alaska. She's dated vampires, werewolves, sorcerers, weapons smugglers, U.S. Government assassins, and slingshot terrortists. No. She is not kidding. She even married one of them.

Once more we are in the Whiskey Witches and Shadow Sisterhood universe. You don't necessarily have to read the Whiskey Witches series, but it may give you back story. In this book we get to see the strong and resilient sister(Emma)
of twins Joe and Brett. We met them previously in the BRILLIANT book BEAR MOON when padfoot Ripley returned home and runs into her last love Joe. I loved Emma in that book and was thrilled to see her get her own story. Once more she stands up to her bigoted mother. Cheryl, evil mum and current alpha tries yet again to dictate every move in Emma's life. She had the audacity to announce Emma's upcoming marriage. One small issue.... EMMA and her supposed future betrothed had NOT gotten engaged! In fact they're not even a couple. Enough is enough in Emma's heart and mind. Does she roll with the flow and let things remain the same, or does she stand up to her mum like her brother Joe did when he married Ripley against her wishes. Helping Emma make her decision is when she meets a mysterious were porcupine. Who knew there was such a thing? Can a bear be with a porcupine? Can she go against tradition? This story is amazing... We see a strong, kind, independent woman make major decisions in her life. Does she do what's best for her clan, or does she listen to her heart and do what's best for her. I was cheering her on all throughout this book. I cannot wait to see what's to come... After all, anyone who has read these books is well aware that Cheryl won't remain silent. I'm curious to see what's to come. This series is literally like a box of chocolates... Or a can of pringles.... No way you can stop at one. At the end of each book I want more, more, more! Luckily I can always read the Whiskey Witches series that started it all by S. M. blooding, and the spin off books "Bear Moon", "Big Bad Djinn" and now "a grizzly Attraction". I've already pre-ordered the next spin off book "Lizard Wizard " by F. J. wolfram. All these books have shared characters and are great fun! I voluntarily read this book as an ARC and gave a review of my own volition. I absolutely adore this entire series and ALL the spin off books!!!

I love all of the books in the Whiskey-verse. We first met Emma in Bear Moon, Shado Sisterhood book 1. She is a sweet, giving and strong woman. Well, strong most of the time. She is the bear clan's alpha's, Cheryl, daughter. We also met her Cheryl in Bear Moon and she is a mean-spirited woman who has no problem ordering her children's banishment or death. Emma is next in line for the alpha's position and Cheryl wants to control Emma, Jordan (her fake fiance) and the wedding. Emma only wants to live her life, but she is worried about the clan and her mother's destructive actions. Mason is a porcupine shifter that grew up in DC and hardly ever shifted. He has no concept of living in a pack (or prickle) or shifter etiquette. I just love how many hangups Mason has and how Emma tries to teach him about living in Troutdale and loosen up. I bout rolled on the floor laughing when he accidentally quilled her. The bears of the clan look down on him, but he did make a statement when he didn't back down from a fight against 3 bears. This is a FANTASTIC addition to this new series and I love it. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I love the Whiskey Witches series by SM Blooding and have found all of the spin off books, her new Red Star Division series co-authored with her husband under the name FJ Wolfram and the Shattered Sisterhood series under her Hattie Hunt, to be equally fabulous. You literally cannot go wrong with any of these series, each of which can be read on a standalone series basis even though set in the same wonderful world and with characters that overlap.

Grizzly Attraction is the new addition to the Shattered Sisterhood series that began with Bear Moon. This time it’s the turn of Emma, who had a supporting role in that book. There are both wonderful returning characters and exciting new ones, including a love interest for Emma that you just know her Mom Cheryl (boooo, even though she’s a nicely drawn and complex character with understandable motivations) will be prejudiced against. “Hattie Hunt” is once again expanding boundaries in this genre and it’s shapeshifters (a shapeshifter porcupine? Really?). She does all this by giving her wonderful characters an equally wonderful plot, and we readers are the true beneficiaries.

Highly recommended.

Set in the Whiskey Witch universe, this story deals with the local bear clan and new shifter arrivals in the neighbourhood. It is at once sweet, sexy and funny. Mason is a loveable nerd who could have only be created by someone who knows the species well and Emma is the perfect complement to him. She is everything he isn't but as their romance grows, they each provide the other with exactly what they are missing.
This story is refreshingly hopeful, in spite of the grim undercurrents of clan politics.
A thoroughly enjoyable read.

Grizzly Attraction by Hattie Hunt is a great book I couldn’t put it down. I just kept turning page after page because it made me forget about everything but reading to find out what happens next. The story is focused on Emma a grizzly bear shifter and how her life changes quickly and drastically. Every change Emma makes revolves around her mother the clan leader Cheryl’s attempt to try and force her alpha daughter Emma to do what Cheryl decrees. This story is really about Emma choosing her own path to love with Mason a nerdy porcupine shifter. Anyone who likes paranormal romance will love this book as much as I did.. Emma’s story is a fun, witty, and rousing love story of a quirky romance with great paranormal characters, set in the wonderful world of the Whiskey Witch Universe. I can only say that if you don’t read this book you will be missing a great read! Grizzly Attraction is Emma’s witty, fun, and rousing love story.

Another fantastic story of the Whiskey Witches Universe but this one can be read as a standalone but why would you want to miss out on all of the other books they are all amazing. Emma is a bear shifter and she’s next in line to be the Alpha of her clan and that’s if her manipulating evil mother has anything to do with it. Emma is in love with Elliot who’s a porcupine shifter, so does Emma go with her heart or do what her mother thinks is best for the clan?. Fantastic story I loved Emma and Elliot’s characters a porcupine and a bear can they even mate?. A fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

First I have to say this is my first porcupine shifter book, and I loved it! Who would have thought a bear and a porcupine would fall for each other. If you have read Bear Moon then you know Emma, a bear shifter, is Joe and Brett's little sister and her mother Cheryl is the alpha. Mason is a porcupine shifter who moves to Oregon to be near his retired parents. This is a well written, entertaining story that had me hooked from the first page until the last. Loved all the interesting characters and the returning ones too. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
