If you pay attention to the top of the title page, you will see that "No Fair" is a math reader. I did not understand what this meant until I started reading this book to my son. He's six and in Kindergarten; however, without the constant 'No Fair' being repeated and the angry pictures, this short story would have went way over his head. The math in the games is a little hard for this age level to understand. Good story with puzzles you have to work through to understand why they are not fair, but should not be for those just learning reading comprehension. I read this story to my son two nights in a row and he still didn't quite get it all.
No fair! covers two main topics: fairness and probability. I thought the storyline was decent, but what I thought was most beneficial were the activities in the back related to probability and instances where fairness is important.
