Debbie grew up in the UK in the East London suburb of Barking. She has lived in Israel, New York and North Carolina and somehow ended up in St. Louis, where she works as a writer, editor and a freelance puzzle constructor of word puzzles and logic problems. She lives with her husband, two very opinionated felines. She believes that with enough tea and dark chocolate you can achieve anything!
A charming story about a cat looking for a human. Funny and sweet, this picture book tells of the pet-adoptions process from the cat’s point of view. Gentle illustrations add warmth.
My daughters and I really enjoyed this book. It puts a different spin on cats and humans. The cats think that they domesticate humans. A little kitten goes out to find a family after her mother tells her it's time to find her own family. It is a cute book and my kids thought some parts were funny. This made a great read aloud bedtime story for us. There were great words in the book that I could use for vocabulary review for my kids. We are always looking for great books like this to expand our knowledge and vocabulary. The pictures were cute. The only thing I think I would have done differently was put a different picture on the cover of the book. I actually didn't realize the kitty was yawning on the front cover until we read the story. It's still cute though. We would recommend this book to children around ages 3-12. As I said, it makes a great bedtime story and can bring out conversations about how long animals stay with their parents. We received this book from the author in a PDF format and this is our honest review. Jessica D. Adams, Author
Story: Cecilia's mother is expecting. The new litter will need the parent's full attention and they will take up so much room, no space is left for Cecilia. It's time for our young cat to find her own home. Alone out on the streets she is scared, as her mother taught her, finding the right human to live with, is a difficult task for any cat. Humans are very tricky to train. But, of course, it's possible, her siblings have shown it can be done and what other use is there for humans, than to be trained by a cat? Will Cecilia find the perfect home?
Narration: Fiona Thraille does a marvellous job. I truly enjoyed her heartfelt and cheerful narration.
Overall: You don't need to be a cat lover to fall in love with Cecilia's Tale. It's a cute wee story about finding the right place to call home, where you are loved and cherished, and it's suitable for every age group.
This is the fourth book I have read/listened to by this author and I would listen to another. This is a standalone story in memory of the authors own cat——-
This is the second book I have listened to by this narrator ( Fiona Thraille ) and I would listen to another. She has a very pleasant voice and has appropriate expression and narration speed for this child appropriate book. ——-
There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence, or swearing. ——-

Such a cute little late about how Cecilia set of to find her own human to “train”. I enjoyed the author’s personal note at the end with the tie to her own life.
This story was well written by Debbie Manber Kupfer and narrated by Fiona Thraille.

A cute little story of a kitty striking out on her own and becoming a parent. I loved it ans my son thought it was the cutest kitty story ever! A cute kid movie. Totally recommend it for little kids.
Firstly I have to say that I was sent this book for free, and I am leaving my review entirely voluntarily. This was such a cute, heart-felt story, that if you are a cat, dog, or chimpanzee person, it will make you smile all the same. Please take time to listen all the way through to the end as there is also an authors note
