“The boundaries which divide Life from Death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say where the one ends, and where the other begins?” –Edgar Allan Poe
Short, clean, one-shot:
Guess who came to breakfast? We have a most interesting gathering for breakfast and such a delightful conversation. It was so good to see relations that one had not seen in many years. The conversations, of course, centered around family. Questions as to how everyone was and what they were doing. There were discussions of the children and grandchildren. There were surprises and gasps of joy as births and engagements were announced. What a delightful gathering.
I had a sneaking suspicion as to what had happened and where this was going. However, I waited patiently as the author revealed it. Wow! Cute idea. Cute story.
“Guilt is perhaps the most painful companion of death.” –Coco Chanel
It is not known precisely where angels dwell — whether in the air, the void, or the planets. It has not been God's pleasure that we should be informed of their abode. ~ Voltaire
This one shot Pride & Prejudice scene features Lady Catherine and Lady Anne having breakfast and discussing family on the morning of Catherine's death. It was a fun read.
I think this is a GREAT premise. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the execution. Thought a lot more could have been done with this idea. The writing itself is good, though.
