Epidemiologist Tara Blackburn is investigating an illness in an African village when rapid gunfire and mercenaries change her world. She barely escapes with her life. What she witnesses terrifies her and she flees, taking refuge where no one will find her until she knows whom she can trust.
When Grant McCall arrives on the scene, he knows Tara is wary. But he can’t reveal that he’s working undercover to learn who’s behind the carnage in Africa. An image surfaced that exposed the truth—The epidemiologist believed dead had survived, like a ghost image in a double exposure on film exposed to light.
The killers will stop at nothing to find the woman who witnessed their crimes. But even more deadly is the illness to which she was exposed.

Yet, there’s a connection to this man she’s just met. In spite of everything that’s happened, she trusts him to protect her.
The pace of this novella is set at sprint from the first pages and ramps up as Tara and Grant race to discover the players behind the bioterrorism threat. But even members of terrorist organizations can double cross each other.
The tension and chemistry between Tara and Grant are believable even though they just met. The question of who the bad guys are and the action keeps the story moving at a fast clip until the satisfying conclusion.

Elizabeth Goddard 5 stars. It was
Action packed, fast paced and brought much needed attention to the plot of endangered wolves.
Wow, I didn't want this book to end! The storyline is riveting, absorbing and all out entertaining. Chapter after chapter craftily kept me on the edge of my seat. The danger, the suspense, the rippling tension soared off the pages. Elizabeth Goddard has another winner on her hands. Double Exposure is pure gold. Dr. Tara is on the run when she witnesses a village burnt, and people close to her murdered by a man she knows. Now it is up to her to bring justice to the criminals who took the lives of these innocent people. Her journey will leave you utterly perplexed as to how she'll fare in this ruthless power play!
Massacre in Africa hoping people thought she to was dead. Fleeing to a wolf sanctuary, with her epidemiologist she looks after the wolves. Matthew gives her shelter is his way of paying back how her father had helped him. With no questions asked or of the nightmares she has. A photographer working undercover comes, Matthew trusts him, she doesn’t. Once again she try’s to run, but he stops her, telling her of the danger. Good plot, one is drawn in from the beginning, plenty of action, connection between them is good.
This novella was fast paced and full of danger! The author kept me guessing right up to the end. I loved the setting of the wolf sanctuary and the frantic race to stay alive. The characters were interesting and likable. This is another enjoyable novella that I read as a part of the Targeted for Danger collection. I would definitely recommend this collection (or the individual books) to fans of romantic suspense.
What can I say, other than Wow! I so loved this book. This was such a wonderful combination of sitting on the edge of your seat suspense as well as a Romance all tied into a super package. Then to add the inspirational thread and you have a fantastic book. I can't say enough as to how great it was. I will want to read this one again.
This is an adventurous book with all the elements I love.....mystery, drama, drama and romance.
I chose this rating because I thought the romance between Tara Grant should have more depth. I like the book but was confused about the character Dale. I would recommend this book to my friends and family.
Excellent story that kept me reading page after page. Couldn't put the story down. This author writes stories of mystery, intrigue and excitement. Each story I read by this author becomes my favorite.
I know Elizabeth is one of the Suspense Sisters authors n this novella was action packed in a small number of pages. Even though this was a work of fiction it made me wonder what does go on out there in professions n third world countries n what/who influences areas of health, economy n politics?
A fun quick read for lovers of romantic suspense. Maybe a little too quick. I found myself wishing for a few more details to make the scene more vivid, but I suspect the author was given a tight word count and chose to spend those words on action, of which there is lots.
Fast paced, sometimes chilling and scary. This book covers issues that exist in our current society. It has suspense, mystery and just enough romance to make one smile amidst all the hair-raising parts of the story. It's not quite a 5 for me, but would give it 4.5 if that was an option.
I really enjoyed this book, what a fascinating concept. Since this a career I have been interested in since childhood it really struck a cord. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
Tara and Grants story will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. The dangers they face are truly scary. You will feel God working throughout this whole book.
this is a page turning story if you like suspense you will want to read the book, it makes you wonder what you can really believe. this is a well written story
As the blurb says, Tara is an epidemiologist working for WHO on a mission in equatorial Africa, when she witnesses a truly horrifying incident. The Prologue opens with this and it is not easy reading, although there are no gory descriptions of the atrocity. Chapter 1 begins two months later and Tara has found a safe haven where she is hiding out, but she is also trapped there until she can find a way to safely leave.
One day she is discovered and she prepares to flee again, but events overtake her and she is forced to trust the man who found her, as he seems to be her only hope of finding safety again. Grant McCall, a former military photographer, now working for a Government agency, has been tasked with finding Tara. He has studied her file and everything about her and feels he knows her. When they meet he is attracted to her, but Tara, of course, has only known him for a day or so, although being on the run and depending on him does tend to concentrate one’s mind and emotions, and she definitely feels a connection.
This novella is fast-paced and full of action for most of the book. It is well-written and edited, no problems there. I found the Prologue and the first part of Grant and Tara on the run slightly suspenseful but not overly so, and I felt the last part of the suspense side of the story didn’t quite live up to the beginning. That she could get close enough to a bad man to poke him in the chest, and he didn’t grab her to use as a human shield is stretching it a bit for me, and did I miss the bit about her being trained as a fighter? The romance part fell a little flat for me, as Tara’s feelings didn’t seem to be as strongly engaged as Grant’s. The premise of the story is a very good one, horrifying, but good, but the latter third of the book didn’t live up to the first two-thirds.
