This is one of the cutest stories I've read. The illustrations are cute as well. I read this to my 7 and 11 year old. My 11 year old is an advanced reader, but she is also a child of great imagination as well and loves for me to read stories to her along with her sister. I began reading this one and the first thing they both said was "awww" which was all throughout the story. They both loved it and loved that it rhymed. It's lesson was a great one as well. Bigger is not always better. The sweet little mouse was unhappy or so he thought. He decided that he would make a change only to find out that the change that he had made wasn't what he expected and realized he was happier with the way things were initially.

The story depicts the life of a mouse who gathers things from the human's house, as mice tend to do. This little mouse desires to live like the humans and eventually gets his wish. But, sometimes what we wish for is not really in our best interest.

What a cute idea for a story. I love the character and illustrations. Sometimes, what you think you want isn't always better.
