Theus will face tests, challenges, and adventures as he slowly takes a round-about path towards his final confrontation with Donal, in the fourth book of the Memory Stones series. Heartbroken, poisoned, traveling in stunned pain, Theus will return to the great cities of the kingdom as he moves away from his past, and towards the unimaginable battles that await him in his future.
I think they forgot to include the final chapter(s) in the audiobook. Seriously though, this series needs an additional installment to wrap things up for everyone who kept up with it. The abrupt end was extremely dissatisfying. Otherwise, I enjoyed the series. I just want the author to tie up all the loose ends, and allow readers the pleasure of closure for each story arc.
This was a nice change of pace from the usual grim/dark. I wanted something lighter and I found it. The story felt like it deviated from target audience (YA, Adult (extremely sparingly), and children's).
A highly-charged [nudge nudge] ending to an excellent series. Filled with action, romance, magic, danger, swordplay, and a girl with a staff repeatedly bludgeoning a young man she loves. A great book, put down with a smile and a sigh for the whole story.
Although the story certainly doesn't have to end here...
This story start as a typical young adult fantasy. Then in the middle it was leaning to a more adult themed story. Then it turned into a children story about halfway of this book. I just don't know how I feel? Overall I liked most of the story. I guess I really hate when a story let's gods do anything they want and mess up any logic the book had.
This series is full of action and adventure, filling the pages and making it hard to put down. The people and places are developed fully and beliveable.
Good series not the most thought provoking but its entertainment at one of its finest over all 4 out of 5 would recomind. From nothing comes something wonderful.
Devoured the series on audiobook. Really enjoyed it- agree with the other comments that Theus was a very bland character but he mostly held true to his good hearted earnest personality he just remained very naive and is the only hero I’ve come across that just doesn’t seem to mature or learn! But the world building was great and the story was fun, the ending was so abrupt. Felt like there was something missing.
SPOILER: And why was the slave lady able to learn white magic randomly when Theus was only able to because he was of the ancient bloodline. Did I miss this somehow?
Wish there was a little more to the ending or an epilogue maybe? I keep wondering if something was just left out of the audio version, but not sure I really care enough to buy it on my kindle lol!
Still. Good book, worth reading the whole series, it flows pretty well if you just go from one to the next, definitely need to go in order!
