This is the second release by Linz Lenay and I absolutely adored Bas and Lizzie's love. Bas
will have you swooning over the moon as he aims to protect Lizzie from the world of trouble following her. I loved that Lizzie had a backbone as a heroine and was just the perfect blend of sweet and sassy. She was smart, compassionate, and exactly what someone like Bas needed. The characters are very well developed, the suspenseful plot is filled with twists, all tied in perfectly together with romance and sexy times I loved.

Lizy Kate has had a thing for Bastian Sterling since she set eyes on him, and she feels like he is interested in her, and yet, he won't do anything about it, which frustrates her to end. Bastian does want to make a move, but as the head of the German Syndikat, he feels like that wouldn't be fair to put her in danger. However, when she calls him drunk one night, he decides that he's no longer going to deny them, so they start to see each other. Their chemistry is off the charts insane, so it's not long at all before they're setting the sheets on fire during sexy times, or any piece of furniture/storage closet, etc. But things start to get tense when danger starts to stalk them, and they don't know who it's coming from nor who it's after. Yeah, that's when the insane twists started coming from every direction, and my f-bombs dropped like crazy. What made this story even better, if possible, was the cast of secondaries that added more depth, and at times, a lot of humor to make me laugh. I love Linz Lenay's writing, as it 's very addictive, so I can't wait to see what she releases next! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Lenay's book really exceeded my expectations! I. LOVED. LIZY. I thoroughly enjoyed her narrative in this novel. She felt instantly relatable. When reading, you just feel like you're friends with these characters. Right away, I felt like I knew Lizy and her friends personally. You definitely feel like "one of the girls." Because of this, everything that happens to the characters feels like it's happening to you. I always look for this in a book. If I can't get into the narrative, I have a hard time getting into the novel. Plus ... a good narrative make the sex scenes even more enjoyable to read.

I loved the book! I think it helps if you have read the 1st one just to get a little back story on the characters and their pasts but it isn't required.
