The Promise Principle: A New Way to Encounter the Bible

Rate this book
Does your group want to study God s Word in
a deeper way? Are you ruled by thoughts and feelings? Would your life be
better if you chose how to respond to circumstances? God s Word is rich with promises for our lives! This book will guide your group to dig deeper in study and
experience His promises.
Our old nature is influenced by thoughts and feelings
responding to family dynamics, work, health, or
temptation. However, God plans for our spiritual
growth so that we no longer participate in this old
nature. Instead, we are led by His divine nature.
The Bible tells the stories of how people responded to
their circumstances. Faith is a choice to respond to
God s promise rather than to a circumstance. God s plan for
our spiritual growth is that we no longer participate in this old
nature, but in His divine nature. This book will challenge the
way you read Scripture, and teach you a new way to encounter
the Bible so that you may grow.

Power Up Your Bible Study

I was first introduced to the Promise Principle through a small group of men at my church. I can honestly say that studying the bible with these methods has greatly influenced my understanding of the Word as well as taken my walk to the next level. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to get more from the Bible.

“We do not live our lives based on circumstances, we live our lives based on principles.”

God’s promises are true, this book will help you learn how to discover and apply His promises to your life.

I received this book FREE from the author, publisher, distributor, or other source. My only obligation is to provide a fair and honest review.

A simple and easy book to read and apply. Here are some of my key takeaways:

- Don't ask God for what He has already promised you in His word, instead thank Him and receive His promise.

- Study God's word for yourself and also with others.

- Memorize and meditate on God's word.

Bible study techniques for leadership

Excellent points that gives the honor to the holy spirit and practical applications for how to conduct a meeting. Be aware that unfortunately this format is not compatible with the kindle Paperwhite.

As someone struggling to “find a topic” to start my own bible study, I found this book to be very refreshing, encouraging and inspiring. I am excited to spend more time in God’s Word discovering His promises and less time looking for the “right” guided study.

This has fundamentally changed the way I read the Bible. I share the approach with high school students who can learn to read and understand the bible for themselves and lean on God's promises.

Good book, made me think. Some of the things Hunter mentioned are a bit too theologically left than I am prone to. In all, good book for understanding how we should view the promises of God.

This book is an excellent guide for anyone who wants to grow and deepen their connection with the Word. I would give it to anyone who was just starting out in their faith or anyone who has felt themselves becoming stale in their faith over the years. It has freshened Bible reading for me, bringing a greater awareness of the power of meditating on what I read. His illustration of a "two hand grip" on the Bible was memorable and helpful. I know this man's family and have great respect for him. He does hard things well.
