Diseases of the Gut and Pancreas

Rate this book
Gastroenterology requires very close collaboration between the surgeon and the physician, and this book is intended to provide a practical account of gastroenterology for both groups. One of the editors is a surgeon and an even balance is maintained throughout. The book is biased towards the problems commonly encountered in clinical practice rather than the rarer conditions - 'a book for the specialist rather than the sub-specialist' ( Gut ). In this new edition, the chapters have been kept short, with thirteen new chapters, including four on the medical and surgical aspects of gallstones. The aim throughout has been to limit text and increase the number of illustrations in this edition.
