Before starting my writing career, I worked in pediatric ophthalmology for several decades. I also served as Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Indiana University School of Medicine, where I provided patient care and teaching, and carried out clinical research.
After authoring hundreds of professional papers and three medical textbooks, in my semi-retirement, I turned my attention to writing about the two things I felt had the most meaningful impact on my life: getting the best education for the career I wished to pursue and working at a meaningful job as a teenager.
After The Second Decade was published to critical acclaim, I started to write the Adam Grant Series. This trilogy of politics and international affairs has won wide acclaim from readers.
As a longtime resident of Indianapolis, I to write while making myself available for book readings and other events in Indiana and Northern Michigan.
