He was awarded in 2006 for 30 years of service to Rutgers. 2012 marked the most successful year during the program's short existence. Roden was the recipient of The Ernest E. McMahon-Class of 1930 Award, and one of six other recipients for the 2012 Human Dignity Award, both at Rutgers University. His book Schooldays in Imperial Japan: A Study in the Culture of a Student Elite was reviewed in numerous journals. He also authored a number of Monarch Notes for that publisher.
To Kill A Monking Bird by Harper Lee. Do you thik about society and how something like skin color can effect it? TKAMB is a mind cringing spine tingling book that makes you think twice about society. Atticus Finch is a white man working as a lawyer in Maycomb Alabama. He is over whelmed by a decision that he must make. He has to make a decision weather or not to defend a black man in court or not.Yes to us it may seem like a minor thing right now but back then it was a big issue. This discrepency over what color your skin is, is effecting how society and wahat people think about eachother. For one to like or not like someone based on their skin color, black or white is utterly repulsive.I loved this book because it sends a clear message to every one that "You never really know a man untill you stand in his shoes and walk around in them." As said by the one and only Atticus Finch. I recommend thiis book to anyone who is taking a stand on society and makina a difference!
To Kill A Mockingbird was the most astonishing book I have ever read. The book told from the point of view of a young girl Scout recalling her memories, brings humor and captivation to the reader.
