Will Reo Greene ever learn to say no? She’s just finished organizing Lilac’s first 5K race and is swamped with online college exams. Now the mayor wants her to collaborate with Jack Warfield to evaluate Main Street decoration proposals for the town’s upcoming two-hundred-fiftieth anniversary. The last thing she wants is to work with the man who rejected her five years before, but the mayor is determined to make an example of the two former high school enemies. If Reo and Jack can collaborate for the good of the town, maybe everyone else will try to get along.

Back in Lilac to oversee the sale of his mother’s rental property, Jack doesn't admit he’s also on a leave of absence from his new job as a Peacetalkers mediator. He got injured as a result of an unauthorized meeting, and the Peacetalkers must investigate. Even if the mayor is twisting his arm, Jack has no interest in collaborating with Reo. She’d already destroyed his college football scholarship chances. He’d be crazy to let her mess up his life again.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I loved this story. This story is honest, wholesome, clean and a delight to listen to. Wings of Love is not without turmoil, but listening to Reo and Jack work through them was very enjoyable. Gonna find more stories by Pamela Ferguson. The narrator did an excellent job with the characters and their personalities.

In the small town of Lilac, the gossip mill works overtime when two former high schoolers are chosen to select the decoration proposal for the town’s upcoming two hundred fiftieth anniversary. Reo Greene and Jack Warfield have been enemies since high school and neither wants to work with the other on the decoration proposals. The mayor tells them his motive for putting them together for this task is to show the bickering citizens of Lilac that everybody can work together well if they try. This sweet romance is full of twists and turns and the suspense keeps the reader turning pages. Excellent characterizations of Reo and Jack. (www.johuddleston.com)

This is a sweet romance about Rio and Jack. They have a spotted history and would be the best of enemies. Due to past pain from father and mother wounds, the couple are unable to see the good in the other until they are forced to work together on a community project. I love the simplicity of this story. These are two people with good hearts who only want to help other people. In the end, they end up helping themselves find true love.

Wings of Love
Lilac Romance, Book 1
By: Pamela Ferguson
Narrated by: Stephanie Dillard

I enjoyed this book immensely, it is a small town romance that grabs your attention and tugs on your heartstrings from start to end. Pamela Ferguson is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, the storylines she creates are interesting and original and the characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are likable and easy to care about too. Reo Greene has goals, she also has a heart of gold and does not know how to say no to anybody who asks something of her and she winds up taking on too much working several jobs while trying to finish college. Having Jack Warfield run into her while working the race was not the highlight of her day, neither was seeing him again. The two have history and it is not good history. Jack Warfield is back in Lilac to sell her his mother's home while on a forced leave from his job as a Peacetalker mediator because he failed to follow protocol. He does not plan on staying too long in Lilac, but when mayor asks him to work with Reo to help evaluate proposals from shop owners to decorate Main Street for the town’s 250th anniversary, he can not say no. The mayor is setting an example of having two known enemies work together with hopes the shop owners will do the same. These two find they have something in common and it opens their eyes to look at what really happened in their past and to resolve their issues. This is a fabulous small town, it is a beautifully plotted story with plenty of drama, light on angst, heavy on heartfelt emotions, charm and inspirations and sweet romance. Pamela Ferguson, thank you for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Pamela Ferguson cast the perfect narrator to bring her story and characters to life. Stephanie Dillard is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. She did a great job covering the voices for all the characters, giving each their own distinct sound, making easy to follow along and tell who is who. She grasped each characters’ personas, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. You could hear how much heart she put into her work as she captures all the characters’ emotions and projects them into her performance. Ms. Dillard is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen.

Welcome to Lilac. Once you visit, you will keep coming back! This is the first book in the series, but I listened to them out of order, and they all stand alone. Lilac is a small town, everyone knows everyone's business and there are always expectations. Reo is attempting to get ready for her exams when she is asked to help organize the decorations for the town's 250th anniversary. Her biggest problem is her ability to say no, so of course, she is now taking on the task. But she has help! Jack is back in town to get ready to sell his family home. He has no intention of staying, but the mayor pulls him in with the same request. These two working together will be a job in itself. There is history there and this enemies to lovers romance is just the ticket to finding their true feelings. I love Lilac! I has that hometown, community feel. Pamela Ferguson creates fantastic characters and Reo and Jack are no exceptions. I love Reo for her ambition, and her need to please others. It can be overwhelming, but with Jack by her side, even as they fake their feelings of getting along, things are easier. Jack is sweet. He has grown and matured, so the reputation he held is a little out of date. This is a fun and easy listen, with some faith and true love to pull us through. Loved the visit!

Stephanie Dillard is our narrator and she is the perfect fit for Lilac. She has a wide variety of voices, and she finds the match to each personality of the characters. Telling these stories with the way I anticipate it sounding is half the fun, and she nails each one. I truly enjoy her.

An incident from Reo and Jack's youth leaves tension between them. Now, forced to work together to arrange the anniversary celebration in Lilac, they have to find a way to put their feelings aside. Through working together, they discover that there is still a spark existing even after years later.

The characters were well-developed and I liked how Reo put others first and enjoyed Jack's sense of humor. The tension between the two made the story interesting and I was curious to see how it would play out. The descriptions of the small town of Lilac made me feel like I was right there with them.

The storyline reminded me that sometimes you can be doing what you feel is right, but doing it for the wrong reasons. Later on, it ends up being more complicated and you wish it would have turned out differently. There are life lessons within the story that made me think back to some of my own experiences.

Wings of Love is a sweet romance about lost love, forgiveness and learning to be responsible for your actions. It was a very enjoyable read and one that kept me thinking even after I turned the last page.

I love listening to this book, it had me chucking to myself multiple times. The dynamic between Reo and Jack sees sparks of all kinds flying. The supporting cast of characters were great too, and the glimpse of small town life makes it look wonderful. Lots of the kind of drama that only happens in small towns where everyone knows everyone and has opinions on what they do.

The descriptions are really well done, I was able to picture everything in my head. I was caught up by the story from the first page and even with a great ending I find myself wanting more.

Oh... and I want that app!

The narration is well done, the delivery is smooth and the character voices were well done.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

This is my first listen to the author . This is a great enemy to lovers story . This story shows when the mind is made up we don’t let anything come through. The mind makes the heart hard and hot willing to see how things really should be

This story is about Rio and a Jack. They hated each other , they were die hard enemies only because of their families. The mayor has a plan. The plan is to put them together for a special event for the town . Both Rio and a Jack are ready to give up , but the mayor confince them to continue. What he tells them makes sense. Does the mayor plan work. Do Rio and Jack realize what is in their heart

The narrator was good . Her voice is strong, clear and steady .

I really enjoyed this story. It was a wonderful read. I almost felt like i was in Lilac. the characters were well developed and even though there were people with problems, lilac was a wonderful place to escape to.
the narrator did a great job with all the characters. There were some funny moments with everyone's antics. I loved the angel ap idea. Won't say more as I don't want to spoil the story for anyone. The Christian message was loud and clear without being preachy.

Great job. Would highly recommend.

Reo is Dependable, a gogetter that always puts others first. She has a lot on her plate, working and college. She doesn't say no to organizing events in her small town of Lilac.
Jack Warfield returned home to sell his mother's rental property. He is trying to avoid Reo. He blames her for ruining his college career. Reo is avoiding him since he rejected her 5 years ago.
The mayor enlisted the both of them to work together for the towns celebration. Can they put aside their differences and work together?
This is a small town romance that I enjoyed listening to.
Stephanie Dillard narration is very good. She captured the voices and personalities of each character.

Wings of Love: A Sweet Small Town Contemporary Romance was a great read by Pamela Ferguson. Reo never says no to anyone and will do anything for anyone around her. Unfortunately the mayor wants her to team up with Jack although they don't get along. I really enjoyed Reo and Jack's story and can't wait to read more by Pamela Ferguson.

An okay read.

Honestly, so many people to remember, some town's people apparently don't understand not airing someone else's business in public. A lot of grumbling and just being selfish bullies going on.

I don't really recommend this book, but you might like it...also, needs one more editing pass.
