The Time Wasters Series are several compiled short story adventures based on true stories. This book contains the first three in the series. They’re all titled Super Short prelude because they ARE just that - super short stories that lead up to big life concepts or events. In Love or Low Places: Dana is young wild careless and free, that is until her entire world is turned upside down by a man she meets at karaoke night. Is there really such thing as love at first sight? You be the judge.


In Sabotage by Hook and Dog: Dani convinces her husband, brother-in-law and friend to go on a fishing adventure, only to have a disastrous turn of events completely take over.


In Trampling Beast: While spending time on her cousin’s farm, Diedra finds herself making an effort to help guide an escaping animal back to its rightful place. What started out as a slight fear quickly forms into a lifelong phobia of this particular farm animal.

About the author

Didi Oviatt is an intuitive soul. She’s a wife and mother first, with one son and one daughter. Her thirst to write was developed at an early age, and she never looked back. After digging down deep and getting in touch with her literary self, she's writing mystery/thrillers like Search For Maylee, Aggravated Momentum, The Stix, and New Age Lamians. Along with a six- piece short story collection called the Time Wasters. She’s also collaborated with Kim Knight in an ongoing interactive short story anthology The Suspenseful Collection. When Didi doesn’t have her nose buried in a book, she can found enjoying a laid back outdoorsy life. Time spent sleeping under the stars, hiking, fishing, and ATVing the back roads of beautiful mountain trails. Sun-bathing in the desert heat, along with watching the relaxing dance of a campfire plays an important part of her day to day lifestyle.

Hello lovelies! I got this book on my kindle because I've read two books recently of Didi Oviatt's and fell in love with her writing. I also love novellas and short stories from time to time. I love the thrill of hitting it and quitting it!😉 I'm glad I downloaded more of Didi's work!

This book is compiled of three short stories: Love or Low Places, Sabatoge by Hook & Dog and Trampling Beast. These short stories are based off real life events and are made for when your looking for something to fit in to fulfill some time and read a good little story.

I give Didi 5 out of 5 stars for these stories. I really devoured these short stories and felt like I could connect with the characters even for the short time we spent together. I've had similar experiences and fears as the characters so I could relate. I just generally love how this author writes. She has become one of my favorite authors. I also enjoy her blog! I recommend this book if you enjoy short and sweet little stories!

Though I have not had the personal experiences to relate with the stories in this book, Didi drew me in with her descriptions and ability to tell a good story. As I read through these super short preludes, I found myself squarely into the story, living each moment for the first time.
