Talk about bad judgement calls, during my sleep deprived night I actually read this horrible story. It is not safe. The Hero cheats and in his marital bed after he puts his kids to sleep and the wife was at book club. She sees him and immediately starts plotting to leave him with the kids, and almost all the money. He doesn't know but he isn't as horny anymore with the OW and decides he needs to be a better dad and husband. He is truly a POS. She sells the house from underneath him, takes the money and runs. He comes home is house has new owners and he has four boxes of stuff left for him.

The wife and children het into a terrible accident and the youngest son is in a coma. She tries to call hero after like two months and he has moved on to another job and state. He is doing great now, day trading and racing cars and winning big. She has doctor who loves her and he helps her and she decides to start painting. She becomes famous but uses an alias. Hero sees painting and starts corresponding with her saying her paintings talk to him and he wants to sell them. The wife knows it's him they finally meet and it's wonderful. They all go to hospital and see baby in coma. They leave and the baby dies that night. After a year in the coma. I hated that part. They both found God while apart and they get rich and HEA ensues. What a great big crock of SHITE!!! I can't believe I made it through the entire book and I didn't even freak out and beat my husband up while he was sleeping. I cried a little and I finished the book.
But I hated the plot. Writing seemed a little disconnected and simple, like a first book of something. I hated the premise but that is due to cheating. I can't believe I read it. Never again nor do I recommend. not safe and read in Scribd. I hated the so called zero!!

“The Kiss” by first time author Lesley Beiro is a uplifting tale of love,
infidelity, pain, faith and healing. Main characters Linda and Jack have
three young sons however the marriage falls apart when Linda returns
home one evening from a girls' night with church friends to see Jack and
another woman in each other’s arms on Jack and Linda's front porch.
Linda has had enough and sets out to leave Jack, succeeding until a horrific
accident leaves their youngest son Nicholas in a coma.
Linda's artistic talents bring them back together as both characters struggle
to find their faith and family, eventually learning how to love again.
This is a gripping story of family, Christian faith and love. You need your own copy, this
is an uplifting story you will want to read again. Hopefully Lesley is busy with a new title.

poor writing cannot carry this plot-

SPOILERS*******She catches her husband cheating and runs away with her kids to punish him. Eventually the journey to Christ’ words and promises begin. The problem is the writing quality is not good enough to deal with issues such as a child’s death. It seems trivialized as if “all is ok cuz jesus loves us”. No real portrayal of grief. This story needed stronger writing to successfully carry this plot.

I like the premise of the book but the writing was too stilted/wooden and it gets really heavy in the god theme. Also pretty boring for something that should be angst filled.

❤️❤️❤️❤️

God at the root of your marriage is the most important part. Forgiveness is a must not always easy but a must. Loved this book.
