Degrees of Power (A Prestian Series Book 4) by Via Mari is the fourth book in her A Prestian series. I highly suggest that you read the previous three books in this series before this one as it picks up where book three left off. This is a must read series! This is one of the best series I have read this year! I couldn't put it down, I read this book in one night. This author's writing style is so free flowing and awesome! Her attention to details just pull you in from the first word until the very last. Her characters are creative, connectable, lovable and true to life. I hated to see this book end, book hangover for sure! This book is the continuation of Kate and Chase's story. These two are determined to have a life together. They continue to have to look over their shoulders for danger and now the danger intensifies. In this story Kate really takes a deep look into herself but the question still remains, will she fully trust Chase? Will she learn that she can control some things in her life and leave Chase to control the other parts? As they fight to keep family, friends safe, what will happen? Again, this story brings us action, suspense and hot, steamy sex! These two characters has such chemistry and attraction. They are off the charts! I just love this couple and the twists and turns they take me on. They leave me nail biting one minute and the next running to get ice water to cool off. They are strong together and apart. They are both independent and know what they want. I love that Kate can be feisty one minute, strong headed and then the next she is butter in Chase's hands. The same can be said about Chase. He is controlling and wants things done and now but yet when it comes to her he shows a sensitive side. I can't wait to see if their story continues and what will happen next with family and friends. I know that I will be reading more of this author, she has become one of my favorites. I highly suggest this story as I know you will want to see what happens to Kate and Chase! You will need to see if Kate finally trusts Chase. Will they finally become free of the danger? This is a must read series!

Degrees to Relationships

Via Mari is an outstanding author when reading this whole series you can finally understand that there are 'Degrees ' to a relationship and each of these books cover each stadge.
In Degrees of Power, you finally understand that there iß a give and take for the relationship to grow. In Katarina and Chace you have a couple that loves each other, loves their family and close friends to the extent that they would do anything to protect and provide for them.
You have to read each book in order to understand and reading the innocence. ..that came with Katarina and Chase meeting then the acceptance. ..that Katarina was learning to then the control. ..that both Katarina and Chase had to learn of each other and finally the power. ..this book gives the essence of feelings between Chase and Katarina that they one can live their lives.
Via Mari is a new author for me and her style of writing has brought me to love reading even more. You will love her too. Can't wait to read Jenny and Brian's story.

OMG
These books are must reads! I highly recommend you read the first 3 books in this series as this book picks where book 3 ends. I am so glad I came upon these books on Facebook! I love this series! Had a good ending I had some unanswered questions! But there is not a cliffhanger. I keep thinking there is no way this author can out do the last book, and every book she proves me wrong. This series is a must read, I highly recommend to everyone. You wont be sorry, so stop what you are doing and pick up this series!

The first three books are a must read to understand what's going on in this book, but I highly suggest each one because they are amazing.

You really learn the true meaning behind the name of every book in this series. Each book shows the relationship between Kate and Chase. I really loved the way this ended. And absolutely hope that the end isn't absolute. I love seeing these two and they've made it to the very tippy top of my favorite couples list.

Great End To A Series!

This book and just how it should have. The series kicked of Awesome and ended Awesome. All that Chase and Katarine had to face endure to get to safe place in their relationship. Chase with his control issue really worked through out the series. The Author Via Mari kept it hot and steamy all the way through. Excellent Job!!!

Degrees of Power (A Prestian Series Book 4) by Via Mari is the fourth and last book in the series. My love hate relationship with Katarina continues but she does redeem herself in this book where she finally shows some strength and courage. The mystery and intrigue, danger and action and thrills and spills and the elusive bad guy continues to play havoc and we find our characters in some harrowing and dramatic situations. The intrigue of the story and the drama that unfolds hold you captive as does the scorching heat between the sheets and everywhere else that was available. Don’t get me wrong I love a story that has lots of explicit sex but seriously, the man needs therapy. LOL. I think this book is the best of the series but the ending fell a little flat for me, there could have been more on the demise of the baddies.

What I do love is that through it all they are determined to fight for each other and their love of not only each other but those they consider family and friends. But let's not forget those trusted men who are always in the background just taking care of the bad guys. I would love to see them get their own stories.

Omg.... This is the 4th book in this series. Katerana and Chase are deeply in love, but it still won't be easy. This book is awesome just like the other 3 the author seemed to be able to make each additional book better than the last. And a lot of authors don't succeed in doing that. They do anything to make sure they can have a life together.. Because of what Katerana's life was like growing up, she has to make herself believe in herself to do what needs to be done. Can they manage to stay together or will the past their families and other issues break them apart for good. Get this book to see what happens. I recommend this book to anyone.

another amazing read via Mari has done a fantastic job with writing this series, I have been on tender took ever since I was introduced to chase and kate.

I loved chase kate trips away and all the drama that surrounds them, and how they are rushing around back home.

I am sad that this series has ended and I hope to read lots more from via Mari in the future.

I liked the series overall. Still some unfinished questions left but not a cliffhanger. Wish we knew a little more on Alfrietta and her parents. Good story will probably continue with the next series she plans to write.

The last book in this series and it was bittersweet. Kat & Chase were a relationship that had its ups and downs and it kept you interested and pulled you in. This author did an excellent job in plot & character development, as well as dialogue. Thank you for the ride.

As this series ends I find that my problem with Katarina continue, until we get about mid way, or closer to the end, when she shows her true strength, especially in the last couple of chapters. The intrigue in this storyline continues and will reach it's conclusion, but not before everyone is in danger and continually placed into lock-down, however there are plenty of scorching hot scenes, and at times I almost felt that there were too many, or better yet, scenes when sex should have been out of place for the particular scene, but that is just me. I got so caught up in the storyline and the drama that was taking place in their lives that I was about to scream to Chase to put it back in his pants and get me to the drama so I knew what was going to happen. There was a point in the book that I was expecting Katarina to let Chase know that she was pregnant as tired as she always was, but I was wrong.

This was an excellent storyine and I really wanted so much more from the end, but I will accept it. (I just wanted more..lol). The bedroom (and other places) scenes were like molten lava in their intensity. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys BDSM with their drama. Oh and there was a few laughs in there as well.

This is book for in the series, and it blew me away. This once again started where the last book left off. I found myself grabbing this book and reading it as soon as I finished book 3. This book is by far one of the best series I have read in a long time. I loved the Fifty Shades series but the characters in this series made me love them; both of them. They both were strong in the relationship, fighting for what they want and believe in. They are an amazing story together but the author made them awesome on their own. The chemistry, respect, and determination that Chase and Katarina possess for each other comes across on the pages. I have loved this series and cannot wait to see where the author goes next. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write honestly about it.

Degrees of Power by Via Mari a five-star read that you will feel the power coming from. This is the forth novel in the Prestian series, this has been my favourite of the whole series, they just seem to go from strength to strength and become more powerful with each read, I suppose it could be as you grow more of a relationship with the characters and get to understand the story on a much deeper level. You also get to know the authors writing and the way she works her writing evolving the main characters and bringing them to life. Katarina and Chase have some powerful chemistry and you need to read their story and follow the ups and downs, the challenges they face, watch them get the balance and story they deserve in this great novel.

An emotional conclusion to the series! But I'm still holding out for more! This series definitely needs to be read in order. Each book takes place immediately after the last, and keeping the flow of the story going beautifully.
Katarina and Chase's love and trust grew and grew through out each book and I was emotionally invested in their story.
Their was drama, action, suspense, and lots of passion through this. My only complaint would be that the ending seemed hurried to me.
I definitely can not wait to read more from Via Mari and am super excited for her next series, The Torzial Series.

If you would've asked me how I invision this amazing series ending I couldn't have imagine an epic ending to a phenomenal story.

From begining to end Chase and Kate take you to one crazy journey after another. Not only from the thrill, but the sizzling hot romance.

I can not express my admiration for Via Mari. The way she was able to make the reader feel the story was real instead of fictional. She was able to make us fall in love with Chase Prestian. I have only one thing to say: move over Mr. Grey, Chase Prestian is the new Dom to love.

I don't know what to say. I'm happy Chase and Kate got their happily ever after. But, I guess this series was just not for me. It jumped around to much and to me this book seemed more like a porno then a book. It seemed like every two seconds they were constantly having sex! I mean seriously who has that much sex! Don't get me wrong, I like it as much as the next but, not in every dang chapter.

There was a lot of shocking factors that happened in this series and in the end it still ended with a happily ever after.

This was a rollcoaster for me. I had to set it down and walk away a few times, there is so much emotion in this one. Not just with Chase and Kate, but with Jenny, Brian, and Kate's parents also. It seems to me Kate has finally found her footing and is settling in her new world. Acceptance is the true theme for this book.

I'm hooked on this series. One of the best I've read all year. I'm sad to see this series end. Beautifully written and great flow. It was really easy for me to visualize what was happening. This series will give you a book hangover. I don't re-read books but this series is worthy of being read multiple times.

This story is a continuation. Please, do yourself a HUGE favor and read the first books in this series. You will love the,. Katarina and Chase are continuing on their insane journey of life and passion.
Katarina is a strong woman. And by that I mean super strong. This woman has gone through the ringer and has come out standing on the other side. While she still is needing to come to terms with the trust issues that she has in her past and those that she is currently facing with Chase, she grows by leaps and bounds as a person in this installment and you can tell how much power she has as a female character in a book of strong male leads.
Chase holds his own. He loves Kate. He is even able to put up with her independent nature and her distrustful side. He grows with her. He learns her and she learns him. He begins to understand that within a relationship, especially one founded as theirs was, there is a lot of give and take. Chase is a strong foundation of which they both stand and he is determined to not let them fail.
I highly recommend this series. You will fall in love with this story. This author has a masterful way of creating beautifully detailed scenes and intricate characters who are strong, independent and full of life.
