VietNam, January, 1970 The U.S. Military was trying to reduce its combat role while the Communists stepped up their attacks. The trick was to survive combat (known as The Elephant) and not get crushed by it - physically or mentally. This is the story of one farm boy's attempts to avoid getting crushed.
