An amusing, informative collection of Ray Fitzgerald's Boston Globe articles from the late 70s to the early 80s that I unfortunately never got to read because I was too young at the time. I enjoyed the trip through the agonies of following the local teams while getting some new insight about other athletes and sports of that day. Fitzgerald's style is very easy to read given its candid, conversational style, and since each article is only 1-2 pages long in the book, the stories read very quickly. Ray Fitzgerald seemed like a writer that I would be reading first in the sports pages if he was still writing today.
