Have been a fan of Rachel Lee starting with the release of her first Conrad County book. This book disappointed me. Some of the characters from previous books made token appearances, where I would have preferred a more in-depth appearance . Also, wished the main characters were more developed. Their romantic attachment seemed superficial and one could understand Alex’s doubts as to whether Darcy would return. Their chemistry seemed lacking. Alex had been an FBI agent, but a particular gruesome case ended his career and marriage. He is now a high school teacher. This case has him drawing on his profiling skills. This is a definite assist to Darcy.. Then there’s Jack, a high school student with a desire to become a ATF agent, seems to have an unbelievable amount of free time to wonder around the edges of the case. It is never believed by the main characters that he is the bomber, but the amount of access he seems to be given is amazing. Jack feels he will be following in his father’s footsteps as a farmer and this will be his only chance to interact with the ATF. For Jack the ATF would be his career choice. Felt The story skated on the surface, lacking depth.

Conard County Revenge is a great romantic suspense by Rachel Lee. Ms. Lee has given readers a book that is well-written. I really enjoyed the characters in this book. Darcy is an ATF agent investigating a bombing without a team. Alex is a high school teacher but he's a former FBI agent. Darcy is forced to build her own team from firefighters, cops, school teacher and even a student. Darcy and Alex's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Rachel Lee in the future. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

This story is about a women that has not lived her life to the fullest due to a crime that she witness at a young age. Then, she met someone that was helping her out of shell, but it was short lived as the bad guy gets out of prison and the action goes crazy. Loved the story!!
